Chris Evans

You had just come home from the hospital where your older sister had just given birth to a little boy. With a light heart and your phone full of pictures, you had just returned to your apartment. Seeing your happy face, Chris immediately relaxed. You kiss him to say hello before you stroke Dodger's head. Then you sit down on the couch.

"So? asked your boyfriend, curious.

-He' s beautiful. My sister is exhausted but everything went well. And guess what?

-I'm listening to you.

-She asked me if I wanted to be her godmother! And I said yes !" you said, tears coming back to your eyes.

Then you showed him the many pictures you had taken. You quickly passed the photo where you were alone holding your nephew. Chris soon realized this. While you were in the bathroom, your boyfriend had taken your phone and was looking at the pictures he had missed.

"Hey, Chris ! you say when you see him on your cell phone. What the hell are you doing?

-I'm looking at the pictures you didn't want to show me." he answered, showing you the picture he was looking at. It was the one where you were holding the newborn baby in your arms and giving him the bottle.

You sat next to him again and he spoke:

"Tell me Y/N.

-Hmm?

-Would you like to get some?

-Like what?

-Kids. »

You looked at him, intrigued. The sincere look in his eyes moved you.

You know that becoming a father was one of Chris' most cherished dreams. It wasn't a priority for you, but since you played a mother in your last movie, you feel more ready for the role. But all the exams, and discussions you may have had with other women who already had children, are holding you back a bit. It's impossible to describe exactly what is blocking you.

"I don't know. It's not that I don't want to... But... I'm scared, actually. I'm afraid that it's going to go wrong, afraid that there's a problem. And then, I think I'll wait a little longer. I still have my whole life ahead of me!

-I understand that. But I'm sure you'll be a great mom. »

You smiled and blushed. You decide to sit at the table. After about two minutes without talking, you decide to engage in conversation. The discussion you had just had was making you think.

"Chris?

-Yes Angel?

-Do you think we're ever going to have kids? Like the two of us? " you asked Chris, blushing because embarrassed by the question.

You wanted to know what he thought of you. You were afraid he would reject you because you didn't want to have children now. Before you met him you had read an interview with him that said he wanted a woman who was ready to have children. But that was not your case. Not right away at least.

"I hope so. I understand that you're not ready right now, and that you have apprehensions and fears. If you need time to prepare, that's not a problem. After all, it's your body, it's up to you. So don't worry about it. Take as much time as you need, okay? Like you say, we still have our whole life ahead of us. This kind of project can wait. Let's just stay focused on our relationship for now. »

A small tear of emotion and surprise moistens your eyes, Chris wipes it with his thumb. You can't say anything else but :

"Thank you, Chris."
