*+* Third POV *+*

The bright sunlight tickled Littlepaw's eyes, making her sneeze and blink. The she cat yawned and stretched her paws, causing her claws to leave their pads.

The young she cat closed her eyes shut before opening them wide again. She looked around and noticed QuietHeart's bed empty. 'Where is she?' She thought before jumping to her paws and stretching her back.

After yawning a second time, she shook her head and trotted out of the small cave where their beds were located. As soon as she left the small den, Littlepaw saw her mentor preparing two small piles of herbs over large ivy leaves.

"Good morning." Littlepaw purred to her mentor, who was too busy to answer. QuietHeart smiled and hummed as an answer. "What are you doing?" The brown and fluffy tabby approached her mentor and analyzed the herbs she was sorting.

Littlepaw noticed one thing each herb had in common. All the herbs under her mentors paws were used to give strength to the cat who ate them.

"Is WillowStar traveling to the Star Pond?" Littlepaw asked, noticing her mentor was missing daisy leaves in the mixture. Littlepaw climbed the storage wall and grabbed a few with her claw. She pounced back down and placed the daisy leaves beside her mentor.

"No." QuietHeart chuckled and thanked here apprentice for the herbs. "Oh? Who are these for then?" She asked, helping her mentor divide the leaves evenly to each pile. "For us. Don't you remember? We're going to the Star Pond for tonight." QuietHeart explained, thanking her apprentice again.

Littlepaw gasped as she remembered and started jumping in circles. QuietHeart laughed as she pushed one of the piles closer to her apprentice.

"When are we leaving?" Littlepaw asked looking at QuietHeart, her eyes shining with the power of a thousand suns. "As soon as you sit down and take your herbs." QuietHeart growled playfully and started eating the pile in front of her.

Littlepaw started eating the herbs vigorously, not even the acrid taste of them bothered her as she gobbled them down. "Easy there. We don't want you to have a stomach ache later." QuietHeart licked her whiskers as she finished her herbs.

She had added honey to her pile, making them sweeter and easier to swallow. "Alright! I'm done. Let's go go go!" Littlepaw said excited. QuietHeart nodded and they two she cats left the den.

The forest grounds were humid after the mist, which only gave the she cat more energy. Littlepaw kept pouncing at bushes, and jumping around QuietHeart. The silver she cat smiled brightly at the excitement of her apprentice.

"Calm down Littlepaw. We'll have AirClan complaining about the noise soon." QuietHeart chuckled as Littlepaw tripped with a root and fell face-first. "Let them complain." Littlepaw smirked and kept jumping around.

"Why are you so happy anyways?" QuietHeart asked, her green eyes question. Littlepaw stopped for a second. "No reason. ForestClan camp is boring sometimes. I was dying to get out of there for a while." She lied.

She was dying to see Leafpaw. It had been a while since the DarkClan medicine cat apprentice left ForestClan camp, and although only a quarter-moon had passed since then, Littlepaw felt it as an eternity without seeing her friend.

Littlepaw had no friends other than Cloudpaw back at ForestClan camp, and after meeting Leafpaw, Littlepaw was able to have her first friend, so spending time with her made the ForestClan apprentice very happy.
