Chapter 7: Not another dream

I sat down and promptly fell asleep. I dreamed, vivid as if I were there. I hate those dreams, they are most likely prophetic.

Anyway, my dream went something like this:

I was in another dark room with two doors this time. They were exactly the same. Both were a dark forest green and had a brass handle engraved with patterns from the center outwards.

A disembodied voice told me to choose one. One lead to eternal suffering. The other led to freedom. But I had no indication as to which was which. Who knew apart from this 'great creator'. The only thing they're good at is making my life miserable.

I reached out a hand and involuntarily touched the wood of the left one. It was smooth and just gave an air of mystery. This door gave off good vibes, and I wanted to peek the other side, just to see if it was the correct one.

On the other hand, the door on the right was different. It had an aura of pure heat and anger. I wanted to steer clear of it and run. Yet I had to inspect it. It was exactly the same, as aforementioned, but the green paint was chipped in places and the handle was worn as if used often. That gave the impression it was the correct one. But then agian the feeling it gave me, like a humid summer's day, I couldn't quite breathe.

So I stepped towards the left one and I could breathe again. It no longer felt like a demon was grabbing my throat, suffocating me. The air was cleaner here and I could think. So my dream-self stopped and brooded over my situation.

That was until I saw the engraving, and the bottles.

The bottles were on a camping table in a line. The engraving was in the stone wall nearby. Unfortunately my stupid brain couldn't read it as I hadn't read it before. But I could see the bottles clearly. They looked like potions, or some failed experiment a crazed Alchemist had performed. I hoped I never had to drink one. There were five in total, all different colours, shapes, textures and sizes.

The first one was flourecent pink. It was in a donut-shaped jar and looked like oil. The second one was mud brown. How's that for a twist huh? It was in one of those pots you get chinese food in, a small(ish) rectangular pot, and was looking a little curdled and dry like cracked land after a drought. The third and last one I could see clearly was a beaker filled with something that closely resembled water.

Then I heard something, someone I recognized, was that.... Silvyr?

'Fiona?' When I didn't respond he sharply said, 'Fiona Silas, wake up now!'
