My angel
I see you
as you descend
and I see the tears escape your eyes
afraid of what waits down below
You fall
so freely
and I open my arms for you
as you fall
closer to the Earth
where I'm waiting to catch you
Your descent stops
as I catch you,
my dear angel
In the Garden of Eden
your eyes innocently look at me
as I help you out of my arms
and your hand lingers,
holding onto mine
as I lead you to the apple tree
