Luna and Neville sat in their compartment, talking ever so softly and ever so calmly. Luna was excitdly talking about the Quibbler, and its newest releases.
Demi and Draco walked through with their parents, the twins giving a short nod to their father and a shorter hug to their mother before heading to their seprate carts.
"I see your starboy," Demi sung, eyes locked onto her friend (at least, she considered him a friend)
"Shut it, or I'll tell that Weasley girl-" Draco began to seethe before his shoulder was grabbed by a certain red head.
"Tell that Weasley girl, what?" Ginny crossed her arms, glancing between Demi and Draco, maybe, Draco should go for the more petty revenage...
He shrugged, "Figure that out," he winked, before slinking away, in the direction of Atticus himself.
"That um-" Demi giggled, high pitched and nervous. "Oh! That I got you a gift," She dug through her pocket, pulling out a handful of candies. "It was a birthday gift from a friend but I don't like candy," Ginny happily took the candy, transfering it to her pocket.
"Fair enough, ready to get on the train?"
"Almost, waiting on, Al-"
Alvara, a beautiful girl, A seventh year and Slytherin. Right now she was walking up to the two, her brown hair neatly pulled back and a blunt hanging from her lips, approaching Demi she handed the blunt off, Demi took a quick hit before stomping it out. "You're gonna get caught," She warned.
"They have no proof that it wasn't a gag gift, from that Weasley shop, they have these little smokes but instead of nictione you're smoking cotton candy, " Alvara hummed, "You brothers are brilliant, Ginny,"
"I hope Ron gets some of their brilliance," Ginny sighed, taking Demis wrist and leading her onto the train, Alvara trailing behind the two as they went to the cart, Alvara sitting by the window and besides Luna, she knew Luna knew, she knew what Alvaras known for close to two years now. But neither of them spoke, scared to break the silent cord of their friendship, or maybe they didn't need to speak, accepting that they were soulmates. She doubted that was the case.
A girl came in quickly, curly brown locks pulled into a bun, she gleamed once spotting Neville, sitting besides him. "Neville! I wanted to tell you about the garden I started, you like plants right?"
Pualani spoke quickly, a small Hawaiian accent slipping into her words. She was a kind girl, or so most thought, the only time she spoke rudely was in another language (Hawaiian) or when someone deserved it (such as being racist, which happens sadly too often at Hogwarts) She wasn't very close to Neville at this time, but after seeing her words. (Have you seen a frog?) She knew it was him, and planned to get closer to him.
"I do, um, what kinda flowers you got?" Neville asked, sitting up a bit, brushing his hair out of his eyes to better look at the beautiful girl in front of him. He admired her so much.
So the two talked, as friends do.
"Hey, Malfoy," Atticus gave a short nod, only adknowldging Draco once on the train, knowing his father would have yelled at them. "You had a birthday the other day, right? Happy birthday,"
Draco shrugged. "Thanks, say, whens your birthday, anyways?"
"Few months," Atticus stopped st the only empty cart on the train, knowing Draco would contuine down to his usual goons. Crabbe, Pansy, whatever the other ones name is. He didn't care. "See ya," Draco hesitated, before stepping in.
"Mind if I sit here? I got a headache and don't feel like dealing with the usual losers," Atticus shrugged as Draco leaned back.
"So, does Draco Malfoy even have a sense of humor?" Atticus grinned.
Atticus was only a fifth year, but a real smart alec. He had a tough life. He comes from a pureblood Slytherin family but he himself is a Ravenclaw, a dissapointment in his own home.
"Does Atticus Rosier want to find out?" Draco crossed his legs and leaned back, running a hand through his hair casually.
The two chatted, Atticus wanted to see if Draco could laugh, he didn't get a laugh, but he did get a smile.
Not one of those 'haha I'm better than you smiles' no, no, a real genuine Draco smile.
And maybe Atticus turned a little red in the face, whos to say?
