"No, no, no!"
Audraya could barely breathe. Blood ran down her body with no indication of stopping, despite her enhanced healing abilities. The stake that had pierced her body momentarily stopped her system, including the part of her brain where she held control.
It didn't help that she was alone. When Klaus ran her and Elena out of the high school, at one point he let go of her. She was left in the middle of a quiet street surrounded by houses.
But her surroundings were the last to reach her thoughts. Logic fled her brain as emotional turmoil entered. Pain flooded her nerves as she kept thinking about how she was stabbed.
The oak made her believe that she would die. It made her fear for the future of her family, seeing as they had so much to accomplish before even one of them could bow out.
Warning signs flashed in her head, causing her vision to black out in short glimpses. Everything was fuzzy and only the occasional house or car became clear.
She stumbled over her feet. She tripped and fell to all fours, panting as she felt the world spin around her. The cement did nothing to ground her.
Blood dripped onto the pavement, along with the sweat she had built up during her panic attack. As she struggled to breathe, she clutched her chest and tried to force air into her lungs.
Her senses were too overwhelmed to hear the running footsteps to her left. Two blondes kneeled next to her cautiously, one of them placing a hand on her back.
Audraya immediately reacted to the touch, snapping her head up and pushing away. The blondes came into focus and she squinted in confusion.
"Caroline..." she realized, "Sheriff Forbes."
The static in her vision decreased and things started to come into focus. She realized that she was in a neighborhood with Caroline's house right beside her. The blondes must have heard her from within their home.
The two ladies looked down at her in hesitation. Liz Forbes was the first to make a move to help her, but Audraya scooted away.
"What happened?" Caroline asked, motioning to her wound.
Audraya panted and frantically dabbed at the blood, "Uh, A-Alaric he...he had the white oak and-"
"And he stabbed you?"
She nodded limply and continued to look around her surroundings. While she was still panicking and afraid, she realized they were out in the open.
She looked up at Caroline and saw small vervain marks surrounding her lips. She remembered that the blonde was once captured by Alaric before they arrived to rescue her and Elena.
Her eyes widened, "You need to get inside."
"What?" Caroline scoffed, "But you're-"
"Get inside!"
Audraya grasped Liz and Caroline's arm, running them back up to the porch of their house. She tossed them both back through the open door. Since she hadn't been invited in, she was left standing on the edge of the threshold.
"What the hell?" Caroline fumed.
"Alaric has taken you once and he'll do it again," Audraya explained, "You need to stay inside."
She winced in pain and clutched the area around her wound. She lost her focus for a second and fell into the side of the doorway, leaning on it for balance.
"You're clearly hurt," Liz observed, "At least let us help you."
"You'd need to invite me in for that," she panted, "And you wouldn't do that for a Mikaelson."
