Marcus and his girlfriend got into something weird, I don't know if it was an argument. Jasmine seem alarmed about what Marcus said. We planned to have a double date and honestly it was getting quite annoying with the girls. They were talking their heads off and I could tell Marcus didn't like it either. Naomi followed Jasmine once she got up and left after M told her to. Marcus apologized and told me I shouldn't have seen that. His eyes met mine and there was a gleam in them, something that finally made me feel like he was staring into his soul. At first, his soul seemed empty and stubborn. But now, his eyes were saying something different and a side that I never seen of him.

"Let's go. quickly!" Marcus said with a grin that was brighter than the stars. He waved towards him and got up. This surprised me. He wants to leave without the girls, leave the date.
We left his apartment and Marcus looked up in the sky. All of a sudden, he tapped me.
"Tag your it." He snickered.
"Awe fuck you." I chase after him.

Not even a minute later, we stopped at an black iron gate. It enclosed an area that was grown over and woodsy like. He began fiddling with his pockets and pulled out a key and unlocked it.
"What are you doing?" I asked concerned.
"Unlocking the gate, come on." He swung it open and closed it behind us. He grabbed his flashlight from his jean pocket and replaced it with the key.
He began walking down the trail and I followed right beside him.
"Wrench, you have you heard of this place before?"
"No." I shook my head and looked around.
"It's really pretty, It's nice here."

We both laugh, since it was a bit awkward. But it was a good awkwardness, we we're anxious. I think about all the countless times that we were alone, how awesome it is just to be together. It would be more peaceful than being with Naomi. I wonder how many times before I can't take her bull shit, it's hard. Something about Marcus makes me wanna explore and venture out to a new beginning, like I've never done before. I guess I have been hiding in someway, I have a girlfriend and I talk about girls to my friends. Making them think that I really into them.
"You okay?" My thoughts stop when I hear Marcus voice.
I nod my head. "So you like this place huh?"
"Yeah, it's my favorite place here in San Francisco. It's very calm, peaceful, and relaxing to me. I come here when I want alone time."
"Hm, but I'm with you right now? You definitely hung out here with Jasmine plenty of times."
He widened his eyes. "No, never." He shook his head. "No" he repeated and smiled.

"Oh really? Is that so?" I cocked my head.

"You're the first." His smile was brighter than before and stopped in the dirt pathway with his eyes locking into mine. This caught me off track, this whole moment right now. Plus the air was staring to feel more humid, even though it was beautiful weather. The aroma of rain simultaneously filled my lungs as his camouflage exterior was wearing off. He's always seemed so sad and unhappy, I could say the same thing myself. She was draining him, draining him to the point he couldn't stand her. That's why he probably comes here, to escape her.

"Now, here it is." He points his flashlight ahead of us and the dull light was shining on a bridge. But wait.

It was like I've seen this already, déjà vu. But then I remembered before I even talked to him and that story he came up with, there was a bridge like this.
I stare at it longer, and thought exactly like this.
My mind was scrambling, trying to remember. Their was the two people go back out of the bridge and they-
"Wrench? Are you coming?" He began walking backwards and pointed his flashlight in front of me, then up at his face.
I slowly walk towards him and the arch, trying to process what was going on.
"Come on" he spoke softly.
Marcus grabbed my hand and pulled me underneath the bridge.
"This is where I feel safe." he smiles as he lets go of my hand. He aims the flashlight on the walls and the arched ceiling, showing all of the graffiti.
"It's welcoming." I smirked. He continued to show off the art.
"So do you like it? Be honest?" He circles around me now.
I didn't answer fast enough.
"Are you scared?" He asked.

The darkness was slightly a bit more scary then I imagined from the outside.

"Me scared, I'm not scared" I shook my head to convince him other wise.

"Hmm?" He still circles around me with his eyes gazing into mine, trying to get 'into my head'.

"Not scared, not scared" I repeated.

"Not even a little bit, even with a weird guy like me?" He smirks slightly.

"A weird guy?-" the light disappears and we're in complete darkness. I have no idea where he could be, for all I know he could be circling around me or right in front of me.

"Marcus?" I try to look around. "Where did you go?"
Then, I hear the click of the flashlight and there was his stupid goofy smirk feet away
from me. I turn around to see him pointing his flashlight up at his face.
"Honestly man, it's not funny." I walk up to him.
"And your still not scared?"

I kicked a big rock as I move closer to him. "No, I am not"

"Right now?"

"Yes, right now." I felt like he didn't believe me whatsoever.

He sighed. "I won't do it again, you seem little scared."

"Well thats nice of y-" I get cut off with the click and darkness once again.

"Fuck, Marcus. Seriously!!" I was starting to get anxious. I had the feeling that he would pull something with me while it was dark. I turned around and he switched his flashlight back on and was smiling. I was fed up already and I knew Marcus could tell since his smile was brighter.

He began getting closer, and he was leaning in a bit, like he was going to kiss me. Inside, I was internally freaking out. I kept my cool as his deep eyes look into mine with love. Something that his eyes have been showing this whole time, but only glimpses. He's never looked at Jasmine this way. He's never looked at her this way I repeated.

By the time I close my eyes, are lips didn't meet and it was accompanied by that annoying click again. I shot my eyes open and he wasn't there. Thunder rumbled in the distance and the rain was softly hitting the ground outside. I turn around and walk back out from the bridge, to see Marcus standing there, drenched in the rain. I slowly walk up to him and I knew that this was the moment. The moment he's always wanted to be with someone special.
"Are you afraid of the rain?" He asks with a smile.
I didn't answer, I remembered what happened in his storyboard, the person held out their hands, palms facing down and he clasped them with theirs. I slowly raise my arms up and stare deeply into his eyes. This is the happiest I've ever seen him now and the happiest I've ever been in a long time. My hands were fully out, he glanced down and quickly reached for my hands to intertwine our fingers. I couldn't wait anymore, I've been wanting this forever now and-. Shut up, stop rambling, dont be afraid and kiss him already.
I leaned in quickly, and fortunately this time, he did too as well. Our lips were finally connected and danced like two starving tigers fighting for food.

I could tell that Marcus was craving for this moment as much as I was. With each break we took, barley lasted a second. But most importantly on my mind, was what if this is the only time. What if he still wants to be with Jasmine in the end. I tried to make this moment last ad long as possible, Marcus kissed the top of my head and hugged me tightly while we catch out breath.

"Finally." He huffed out.
I didn't care if this was the only moment together, I was just extremely happy that it finally happened.
