Hello all I hope you enjoy this story.

You looked at the empty space beside you in bed and sighed. The clock read 3AM and your husband hadn't come to bed yet.

You crawled out of the warm covers and put on your purple silk nightgown and went to his office. When you approached the room faint mumbles could be heard from the room which was probably Poe talking to Karl.

You slowly opened the door and your gaze fell upon your husband who was slouched over his desk scribbling on peices of paper and mumbling something about Ranpo to Karl.

Karl noticed your presence and jumped into your arms causing you to chuckle and pet his head which made Poe turn around to see why Karl ran away.

Looking up towards him you said, "Edgar your going to overwork yourself please come to bed."

"(Y-Y/N) I have to finish this for Ranpo-Kun so I can prove I'm a better detective than he is. I will sleep after."

Signing you sat on his lap causing a crimson blush to spread across his face. He then quickly said " W-what are you doing m-my love?"

"Causing your brain to malfunction so you can't work and have to sleep."

You moved so that your faces were inches apart and moved his hair out of his face kissing his cheeks then staring into his greyish purple eyes and him staring into your (e/c) eyes in return.

His blush grew even deeper as you leant closer to give him a sweet yet passionate kiss allowing one hand to slide into his long fluffy hair and the other rested on his shoulder. He returned the kiss and pulled you into a tight embrace then whispered into your ear,

"Fine you win. I'll sleep now."

Smiling triumphantly you got off him and picked up Karl bringing him into your shared room with Poe following closely behind.

You took off your nightgown and slipped back into bed with Poe pulling you closer to him and then resting his head in the crook of your neck.

Karl jumped onto the bed and snuggled close to your stomach and you stroked his head causing soft purrs to escape from him.

Poe kissed your neck lightly with you smiling in response.

"Thank you (Y/N) I love you so much."

"I love you too Edgar."

You closed your eyes and fell into slumber with Poe following not long after.
