I finally had some inspiration to write something WOOOOOOOOO

I will try uploading for frequently too but I hope you enjoy this oneshot

I made a mini Fukuzawa cutout the other day so it inspired me to write this lol

The hospital doors crashed open as the silver haired man ran through the halls making his way to the room his beloved was in.

Once he had reached the door he calmed his breathing from the running and slowly opened the door to keep the peace of the room. Walking over his eyes rested upon your peaceful sleeping figure but also all the tubes and wires connecting you to the monitor.

He sat down after dragging the chair closer to the bed you layed on and took your hand in his tracing circles over the top with his gaze never leaving your face. As he studied your face he began to notice all the scratches and bruises that were littering your face and a deep sigh escaped from him before he spoke to you softly.

"Hello my dear, I doubt you can hear me but I am so sorry I wasn't there to save you. You are the love of my life and I refuse to lose you so please keep fighting."

A tear trickled down his cheek and he looked down to where it had landed hanging his head low letting all his guilt wash over.

"I shouldn't have let you go on the mission alone."

Fukuzawa didn't realise you were starting to regain your consciousness as his eyes were glued to the tear drop mark left on the bed. Your eyes fluttered open and the bright white lights causing you to squint until you could focus properly. After focusing on the room your gaze shifted to the man holding tightly onto you hand releasing quiet sniffles every so often and you smiled that he was there so that you wouldn't wake up alone.

"Yukichi don't cry over me my love."

This caused his head to shoot up and a shocked yet relieved expression to make way onto his face. You reached over towards him and wiped away the tears from his cheeks smiling softly at him.

"(Y/N) I'm so sorry I wasn't there to stop you from being ambushed. If only I hadn't let you go on the mission and then none of this would have ha-"

You softly placed both hands on the side of his face and placed your thumb over his warm lips to stop his worried filled rambling.

"Yukichi stop worrying it's not your fault it couldn't have been stopped. I'm safe now so that's all that matters okay."

He sighed and looked into your (E/C) filled eyes whilst a smile kept its way onto his face.

"I love you so much (L/N)(F/N) and not a day goes by that I don't think about how lucky I am to have married you all those years ago."

You chuckled and replied not breaking the eye contact you held with him.

"I love you too Fukuzawa Fukuichi and I'm extremely lucky to have a husband as caring as you are."

He moved closer to you and embraced you tightly so that you didn't disappear from him. You leant into the crook of his neck whilst taking in his scent of tea. Once you parted from the embrace he cupped the side of your face and your hands made their way to his as well feeling the warmth they held.

He leant closer and kissed your cheeks , causing a blush to paint your cheeks, before going in for a passionate yet sweet kiss on your lips.
