Summary: "I would pass these forms out, but I know you all want to be heroes!"
Hitoshi's not even listening at this point. The whole day has been like a bad case of deja vu, except worse, because he actually did live this yesterday. They've done the same work in class, Hitoshi has caught snippets of conversations that he caught snippets of yesterday, word for word. Bakugou does the same thing he did yesterday, where he knocks Midoriya's lunch out of his hand just as the green-haired boy tries to scamper out of the classroom to avoid the very thing from happening.
And now their teacher is ignoring the mess he's made by mentioning that the quirkless kid and the kid with the villainous quirk want to join U.A.
It's- is he really stuck in a time loop? Is that what this is?

Hitoshi wakes up, and knows immediately, that something is wrong.
Sitting up slowly, he pushes his blanket back and looks around the room. It's- well, it's his room, there's really nothing that special about it. There're all of his posters, and his hero figurines lined neatly on the top shelf just in front of his books. There's his desk, still littered with yesterday's incomplete homework and the coffee cup he forgot to return to the kitchen. There're the doors to his closet, closed, and the cat poster his mom bought as a joke. A pile of clothes sits inconspicuously just besides his bed, along with the book he must have fell asleep reading and knocked off the bed. The window across his bed is open, just like it is every morning because of his mother's routine, and a summer breeze blows in and reminds him there's a whole day ahead of him.
But something feels off.
This is his room but... it's not supposed to be? It seems too big, which it really isn't, but like he's used to smaller. There's the large cat plush at the foot of his bed that he likes to pretend watches over him like a guardian angel during the night but it- it's not supposed to be here? But where else would it be? Just that- if his room was smaller, he probably wouldn't have been able to keep it and would have had to leave it back... at... home?
But this is home?
"What the fuck."
Sitting there on his bed, sunlight dappled around his room yet something in the air feels off, Hitoshi tries to puzzle it out and maybe set himself straight. Maybe this feeling is because of a dream? That happens sometimes, like waking up and feeling like you're forgetting something. That's probably it actually, but the feeling still persists and Hitoshi wishes it would go away and stop making him feel off kilter.

Hitoshi heads for the bathroom real quick before coming back to change his clothes. He can hear his mother puttering about in the kitchen, and from the smell coming from downstairs breakfast ought to be good. He absentmindedly wonders if his father has already left for the hospital, or if today is an even day and he stays for breakfast.
Five minutes of looking around in his closet, and he can't find his uniform. Great.
"Hey mom?!"
"What?"- comes the reply from downstairs.
"Have you seen my uniform?"
"It's in your closet Hitoshi!"
It is not.
