After lunch, having bought the memory card and inserted it into the phone James had, he was keen to start talking photos. So was Simone. She stopped him next to the truck and started posing for him. Because of the size of the truck, they were at the edge of the parking so were in relative privacy. James stopped taking photos because he was staring. Having realized this, he carried on.

"Your turn!"

She grabbed the phone and started taking pictures, telling him where to go and how to pose. He felt silly whilst doing all of this. After a little fun with selfies, she gestured to him and cheekily smiled, "off with the pants."

About two hours later, James decided to get some fuel at the next station that came up. He was unsure about how far he could go on one tank and he didn't know if the tank was full when he started. "Sounds like a good piece of motherly advice. So should we make this a permanent arrangement for us to do this till I get to San Francisco? Do you have a time frame that you have to get back home or wherever you are going?"

He was taking a chance with this move but he was really enjoying this trip with Simone so far. I think this might work. Over the next ten days, we can really get to know each other.

Well, this is a new development! I think it may be a bad idea but at least we can get to know each other and if it does not work, we can go or separate ways.

"Are you asking me to be your girlfriend and travel with across the country with you?" She was a little shocked.

"um yeah, I think I am!" He started to doubt himself now the way she said that.

"Sure thing JJ. Let's do this. I have no time frame to get back and have about three months worth of cash stashed away so I am good for that side of it."

In one mile turn left, then in four hundred and fifty five yards your destination will be on your right came the loud tinny voice of the GPS. About four minutes later, James turned off the truck for the day and let out a big sigh a sigh that signaled the end of a stressful and eventful first day. He pressed the button to turn the cabin of the truck into a private area. The windows became black and the windscreen was covered by a plastic sheet that lowered from under the sun visors down to the dashboard.
