"Uh, England? I'm fine, you can let go now."
"Oh! Sorry!"
America gave him a weird look. "are you okay? You've got this distant look on your face."
"Yeah I'm fine, I was just thinking about something."
"What about?"
England sighed. "Never mind. lets just get to the meeting. We're already running behind!"
"Dude, we still got, like, an hour."
England have America a smug look. "You forgot about the time change didn't you?"
"What? No! Wait, okay yes..."
"Let's go then."
China was pretty ticked off when America and England came to the meeting late and interrupted his turn to speak.
"Don't you two know you're an hour late? Honestly you two don't-"
America cut him off (again). "Sorry dudes, but we totally just got attacked by the Axis powers!"
"Wait, what?" Everyone immediately became curious about what happened, forgetting about China's presentation. "So what happened?" France asked.
"Well, uh, lets see, umm..." England wasn't sure what to say. he wanted to be honest, but didn't want to embarrass America. " okay, so, I was walking to the meeting, and all of a sudden Germany, Italy, and Japan ran up and cornered me. I thought I was going to die, but then America came in and saved me!" England didn't see any harm in switching who did what. After all, America always acted like a hero, why not let him be one?
"Wha-. Uh, yeah, that's basically it," America stammered, suddenly embarrassed about England lying for him. 'What am I thinking?' He thought. why was he so embarrassed?
"Can we please just get on with the meeting?" England asked.
Seeing that they were uncomfortable talking about what happened, the other countries let it go, except for China, who was still really ticked off.
