Well dinner was chaotic

Hopes pov:
I got out of the shower and picked up my phone I decided to look at the last messages Josie sent me before she stopped texting me

That last text was when I should have texted her back but I never did how could I do that I started to cry no no I can't do this stay strong if not for you than Evelyn it's her birthday come on I look at the Time omg I'm going to be late let me hurry and throw on some make up and leave oh shit I was about to leave when I forgot my phone in the restroom I grab it and was about to leave shit my purse and the presents ugh why the fuck to I take so long I got a text from my driver

I run as fast as I can down stairs and I look at the time I'm going to be at least 10 minutes lat ugh I run  as fast as my legs can carry me

"You know where we're going right?" I say

"Damn no hello?"

"Hi now come on I'm already late nick ugh she's going to kill me" I say rubbing my head

"Who your girlfriend or boyfriend i don't know at this point"

"Oh god no she's my friend and I invited her to a dinner"

"Friend and dinner don't scream friends"

"Omg seriously it's her daughter's birthday dinner" I say laughing

"Oh sorry I- forget it I embarrass myself a lot"

"It's okay it was funny and I did need a laugh or two"

After I said what I said we stayed quite for a while we finally got there I was 20 minutes late I was hoping it was only 10 minutes but there was traffic

I walk into the restaurant and seen Evelyn I checked in at the front and they lead me to the table

"AUNTY HOPEY!" Evelyn said running up to hug me

"Oh wow a new nickname I guess I upgraded from just mommas boss" Caitlin laughed

"Your late we didn't want to order without you"

"You guys didn't have to wait sorry I didn't text I was in the rush to get here I thought it would only be 10 minutes but it was 20 and I'm sorry it happened plea-" I was say but I was cut off

"Hope stop blabbing and sit it's okay you weren't that late we were fine ain't that right Evelyn?" Caitlin said looking at Evelyn

"Yes mommy said it's okay to be late but not all the time she said you are usually never late that you love to be early and that she heard about you being late because driver man texted" she said stumbling a pond her words here and there

"Well thats nick for you let's eat shall we" I said opening my menu

"Mommy can I get Mac and cheese and chicken tenders" she said jumping up and down

"I don't know hunny" she said looking at her Wallet I know she doesn't get paid until Wednesday

"Caitlin I'm paying for dinner stop worrying" I said putting my hand on hers

"Thank you so much" she said I just gave her reassuring smile

We ate for 40 minutes we were about to order dessert but I had to
Excuse myself from the table to go use the restroom

"I'll be back I just have to go to the lady's room"

"Okay hurry because Evelyn is kinda inpatient when it comes to chocolate cake"

I run into the restroom not looking and I bumped into someone I look up and my eyes meet these brown honey eyes I'd know these eyes anywhere it's Josie my heart dropped to my stomach

Josies pov:
I was done getting ready and I ran to the living room but not before I look into mine and Lizzies room the floor boards where burned

"Hey Jojo ready?" Lizzie said coming around the corner

"I did that?"

"Yea it's fine mom called the people to fix the floor well we're out at dinner"

I started to tear up but I couldn't let it show because then they'd make me stay home and I don't want to stay home

"Josie you okay you look like your going to cry"

"No I'm fine I just want to say sorry about what I told you when we were in the car I didn't mean it I was upset"

"Josie it's okay I forgave you right after you said it whether you meant it or not I love you jojo" she grabbed me into a hug

"Love you too" and then I pulled away and wiped my tear that was on the brink of falling

"Now let's go moms in the car"

We ran outside but not before I grabbed my phone and purse Lizzie did the same we ran out to the car dad was driving and mom was in the front seat and then we drove to a restaurant it was really nice we checked in and I have to use the restroom

"Hey guys I'm going to go to the restroom I didn't get to go before we left home"

"Okay hurry though I'm hungry and I want to look at the menu together like we always do" Lizzie said before I left

I walk into the restroom and no one was in there I use the restroom and I go to was my hands right as I was about to go dry my hands when someone bumped into me I look down only yo be met with Ocean blue eyes those eyes I know them then it clicked HOPE!
