Chapter 2

Mr. Cassidy P.V.O

She walks about with an angry step to her daughter father her mood changes when her daughter comes running into her arms. Wynona puts her daughter down and she walk far enough to to where she can see her and so can Ian. She getting angrier and angrier by the minute she talk to him. She must really push her button.
I noticed her daughter started out happen and her smiles start to fate as they counted to argue. She look over at me and then way. She being shy just like her mother when she first started working here. I walk over to her and drop down on the floor with her.
" what's your name sweetheart"
"Mommy say not talk stranger" she whisper
" I'm your mommy boss kiddo and I known her for about four years"
Her face light up
"Otay" she said shyly
"I'm Jasper Cassidy what's your name"
"Pay-ton " she whisper shyly and looks up at me with her hazel eyes just like her mothers eyes.
"So Payton I hear you been putting smiles on guest as the check in when your here"
"Mommy always said when someone having a bad day to make them smile"
"Your mommy right"
"I knows"
Payton tummy start to rumble and growl.
"Payton are you hungry"
" Yes" she said short and shy like
I signal Ian letting him know that I have Payton she getting dinner and to have Wynona to meet us in the dining room. Ian give me a node.
I stand up and hand my hand out so Payton can take it "Come on Payton let's get you some dinner"
She takes my hand and stand she skips as I walk with her to the dinning room. I get a table for three and she sits in one of the char and I sit and one of the other two chars at the table.

Wynona P.V.O

"Ian where's Payton"
"She's with Mr. Cassidy in the dining room he requested you to go in there as well"
" Thanks Ian"
Ian smile and I smile back I walk into the dinning room to the table they where sitting at.
"I'm so sorry Mr. Cassidy that's she bother you"
"Wynona she did bother me I'm the one the went up to her I heard her stomach growled thought she would like to have dinner"
     My eye brow shot up.
"Um sir you don't have to...."
He irruption me before I finish the sentence "please I insist and it's on me to sit with us and have dinner"
    I sit down and look at Payton.
"Payton sweetie did you dad feed you dinner?"
"No mommy, daddy said to wait get fed at ho-tel"
     I ball up a fist pit of anger and then relates.
"Okay Pay what you in the mood for"
"I want chicken nuggety"
I smile " alright nuggets it is"
The waiter came up to our table and Mr. Cassidy decided to order for all of us and he made sure Payton got her chicken nuggets, him and I end up getting burgers.
     The waiter can back with water and two sweet teas and sit in the table. Couple of minutes latter he comes back with the food he sit pays chicken nuggets in front of her then Mr. Cassidy and my plate I. Front of us.
"Thank you" Payton and I said with a smile.
"Thanks" Mr. Cassidy said.
     We began eating dinner...
Every one finish dinner.
"Mr. Cassidy you what was it you wanted to talk"
"Night I'll talk about it latter"
"Yes sir I should probably head back to work"
I stand and pick up Payton.
"Wynona you can leave her in my care I'll take her to from desk latter"
"Sir thank you but I don't want her to disturb you in your work"
"There no problem I can watch Payton"
" but I couldn't..."
He cut me off .
" Head back to work I got her and I'll head her to the desk" his voice be deep but claiming
"Yes sir"
I kiss Payton on top of her head.
"Be good and listen to him"
She node and I walk off and head to the bar to start my second shift. I served a drank to a man when I hear Payton saying and hoping talking to Mr. Cassidy taking her to the front desk.
I walk away from the gentleman after setting drink now and whisper to myself "he give her sugar should have done that but it's fine she happy and that's all that matters".
Hours have pass and it close to the end of the shift the costumers have left and the other server has left I began to wash everything up. I was stand behind the bar drying off a class and Mr. Cassidy walk in and sat at the bar.
"Hello sir would you like a drink"
" Yes a whiskey"
I pull out a napkin and set it on from along with the glass in my hand I grabs the bottle and pour him a glass I also left it out on the counter incase he wants more.
"Thank you"
He took a couple of sip and then set it back down in the napkin.
" I hope Payton wasn't to much trouble"
"Not at all she a sweet little girl I let her have some ice cream I hope you don't mind"
" it's fine"
"Her face brighten up after I'm guessing not a good weekend with her dad"
"Not so good but thank you sir for brighten her day a little"
"No problem she a sweet girl and look like you"
I smile "thank you sir"
He smiles and nodded.
I pick up another glass and dry off and I repeated it.
"Wynona I have an preposition for you"
"Okie sir"
"So this company doesn't believe I'm suitable to run this hotel after my father reiterates because of the fact I have been with different women and since my father has said this hotel in particular is the one he is inheriting to me after he retires"
"Okay sir but what does this have to do with me?"
I east on eye brow out of being Confused on why he's telling me this.
"We know enough other since you where 17 and I was 18"
"Okay"
" would you pretending we're together you and of course your sweet little girl move in with me we could act like we been together for months and decided for you two to move in with me and we announce it"
My mouth drop.
" so let me get this straight your father is retiring giving this hotel to you but the company doesn't believe you can run the hotel because you slept/ been with women"
"Yes" he said clammily.
"Your asking me if i would fake date you for months and randomly announce we're living together but actually have Payton and I move in for god knows how many month"
He breathes in "yes and I not sure how many months but just enough to convince them to that I can take over"
" Ha it sound to me sir that you shouldn't have been with them women and there would be the complicated but well thought out plan"
"Yes well I never thought it would effect it also but what to you say"
I laugh to how stupid the plan sounded.
"No" I said once I was done laugh.
I walk around the bar and wipe the tables down and being fling the chairs on the table.
"Wynona please you'll still keep your job but it will be on pause for a few you can come back with a raise"
"Tempting but no"
" I'll pay you walk your living with me "
"Mr. Cassidy reword what you just said"
He thought for a minute.
" We're pretending to be together I'll pay you for pretending"
"Still it's a no"
"Wynona before Pays was born I got attached to you and her even before she was born and I know this sounds crazy but I made a saving account that she would get after she gets out of high school to do whatever she wants after high school I will give you the account number and even put your name on it and take my off and let you have full control over it "
I stop in mind track a drop the chair in my hand and my mouth drop.
" W-when did you do this?"
" day she was born wail you where a sleep I made a few calls also made sure it was okay with my father of course"
" how where you going to give it to her"
"I never figured that one out just guess I would when it was close to time"
"Oh um sir can I have time to think about this"
" Yes you can have time to think about it Wynona"
I pick the chair back up and continue to wipe the counters and flip the chairs on the table "Thank you sir" and I finish up.
Mr. Cassidy walk out of the bar and I finish up. Once I was done I met Ian and the front desk and pick up Payton slowly so she wouldn't waken from her slumped I whisper Ian a goodnight and walk home. When I got home I change Payton in to her pjs and check her for marks left by her father which there wasn't any. I put her in her bed and tucked her in and kissed her forehead. Then I went to my room and change in to pjs myself and then Lay into bed I though about that Mr. Cassidy said as I drifted into a deep sleep.
