[a promise to the dead]
chapter seventeen - "missing
☼"Are you coming over tonight?" Mason asked in a whiney tone.
"Mase, of course, I'm gonna beat your asses like always." Angelina laughed.
"We only let you win, we were being nice."
"Oh yeah, definitely, I'll see you in a little."
Angelina hung up the phone, grabbing a small bookbag from her closet and began to throw things in there. Like an extra outfit for tomorrow, she'd steal clothes to sleep in, her bathroom stuff, and random other things.
She jumped when she heard a knock at her door only to reveal Stiles.
"Are you going to be okay tonight?" He asked.
"Stiles, I promise I will be fine. Liam will be there, you can drive me there and pick me up tomorrow if it makes you feel better." She smiled.
He squinted his eyes, "Fine."
"When did you get so good?" Mason asked.
Liam just laughed, he had won the game once again. Angelina bailed out a few rounds ago, so she was laying on his bed watching.
"You've been practicing? Or did you just suddenly get super human reflexes?"
Both wolves stiffened at the comment. Angelina didn't speak, thankfully Liam did.
"Um - practicing," He pointed to the screen. "Yeah - Yeah, I've been practicing."
"And I should be studying," Mason sighed, setting the controller down.
"Where you going?" Liam asked.
"Home? We got a history test tomorrow."
"Come on, one more game."
"Yeah, you said that four games ago," He said, standing up from his spot.
"Study here, you can stay over. Come on, one more game, just one," Liam begged.
Angelina sat up from her spot, her feet now hanging off the edge of the bed.
"You okay?" Mason asked his best friend.
Liam looked at the floor shaking his head, "Yeah, y-your right, you should go," He looked up at Mason. "I should probably study too."
None of them spoke, obviously Angelina would wait until their friend left.
"See you at school." Liam mumbled.
As soon as Mason left, Angelina moved to the floor and sat beside Liam. "Come here." She said opening her arms.
