Angelina just finished her shift at the coffee shop, it had become her favorite place so far. The owner, Amelia, grew to love the younger girl, she was very helpful and always brightened peoples days.
"Angieeee!" Someone sang out, as the door opened.
She peeked over the counter and let out a small laugh, untying her apron and hanging it up. Before she walked away she made herself a quick cup of coffee, you could never go wrong with coffee.
"Here to pick me up?" Angelina smirked.
"Of course. I missed you, and we are hanging out tonight." Liam smiled, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Let me grab my stuff - don't move, I will be right back," She handed him her cup and walked back into the little office where she kept her stuff, sitting back there was Amelia.
"Hey, Angelina, you leaving?" She asked, looking away from her laptop.
"Yeah, but don't worry I will be here again tomorrow morning." Angelina laughed a little, throwing her small bag over her shoulders and walking back out to her boyfriend.
"You ready?" He asked handing her the coffee.
She took a sip and nodded, she got up early that morning and was exhausted. However, hanging out with Liam seemed to give her more motivation to stay awake a little longer.
Once they sat in the car Angelina rested her head against the window, her eyes fluttering shut and then opening again.
"Tired?" Liam chuckled. She nodded and looked over at him, there were small bags under her eyes. He frowned and turned back to the road, they were getting closer to his house. "How about you get some sleep once we get to my house, then when you want we can eat dinner and play games."
"Okay." She whispered.
It didn't take them long to get inside and situated, Angelina changed into one of his shirts and left her shorts on. Liam crawled beside her, tracing little shapes on her arm, making her fall asleep faster.
"Are you sure?" Angelina and Liam were trying to figure out dinner, his mom and step-dad weren't home. "I can make something, like mac and cheese." She smiled.
"Angel, let me make something." Liam groaned, running his fingers through his bed head.
The girl giggled at him and shook her head, "Liam, it's fine. And I don't think your parents would be happy if you burned the house down."
"I would - I mean - yeah never mind, you can make mac and cheese." He sighed in defeat. She did a little victory dance and went to retrieve the box.
A loud crash and a scream made Liam worry and jump out of his seat. He ran to the pantry only to find glass on the floor, along with flour, and his girlfriend standing there with pursed lips. Her eyes met his and she looked at her feet.
"I might've accidentally knocked over the glass jar, filled with flour."
"I can see that." He said stepped over the glass, Liam lifted her head so she'd look at him. "Baby, it's okay, we can clean it up, my mom isn't going to be mad."
Angelina nodded and allowed Liam to carefully lead her out of the room, he grabbed a broom while she grabbed everything to make their dinner. By the time he finished cleaning, the mac and cheese was finished. Angelina was very proud that she made it and didn't break anything else in the process.
They quickly ate, it had gotten dark outside due to the fact that they slept until seven-thirty, and grabbed a blanket from the guest bedroom. The couple walked out to his backyard, placing the blanket down in the grass and laying on top of it.
The stars were out, illuminating the dark sky. It was a very nice night, the temperature was just right, the stars reminded her of when she was younger, and she was beside the guy she loved. Yet she wouldn't admit that, definitely not right now. They still had so many more things to worry about, but in the time being, they pushed it into the back of their minds.
When Liam's parents came home, they found the two teens asleep in the backyard. Angelina was curled into Liam's side as he had an arm behind his head and one around her back.
"Should we wake them up?" His mom asked.
"Nah, let's lock them out."
