*5:30 AM*
"Y/n, Y/n wake up"
Warm light streamed in from the hallway into your room, shining directly into your eyes. As you adjusted from your sleep, your eyes found the source of the voice. Bakugou was standing over where you lay in bed, his bruised and cut up hands and arms held in front of him, an aftermath from the sports festival. you couldn't tell if they were bleeding in this light.
"Kat, what happened? It's like 5 AM." you asked as you glanced at your nightstand.
"Dumbass I know that, it's not like I'm waking you up for nothing dipshit."
"Okay, well then what do you need? Did your bandages fall off? I told you to let me help you so this wouldn't happen."
He grumbled and growled out an 'I know' and signaled you to follow him with a nod of his head. You swung your feet off the bed and onto the cold hardwood floors so you could stand properly. Dragging your hands over your face in an attempt to rub the sleepiness out of them, you followed Bakugou quietly trying not to disturb his parents. Once inside the bathroom, bloody bandages and fresh ones along with medicine were spread out across the counter. Bakugou hated having to ask for help, especially from you, but those fights at the festival and the way they chained him up after left quite a mark. He leaned back against the counter and held out his arms for you to begin your work, his angry pouting never leaving his face. You took a clean washcloth from the shelf and dampened it with cold water to help with the sting of cleaning it. Taking one of the sanitation wipes, you quickly disinfected the scrapes and the cuts all along his hands and arms. You knew all too well bakugou didn't show his pain, but you could feel his forearms flexing under your touch. Once you had finished you wrapped his hands in the washcloth while you prepped the new bandages.
"Did they come off while you were asleep?" You questioned quietly as you worked.
"Yeah, got some blood on the bed. Mom's probably gonna scream about it tomorrow." He whispered back as he watched your movements. You had finished up applying healing ointment to the bandages and carefully took the cloths off of Bakugou's arms. You took the bandages and carefully wrapped his forearms and wrist, and then used several others to wrap his palms and cut up fingers. Once you were finished, you threw away the old bandages and trash, and put up the medicine, closing it all by washing your hands. Bakugou rested against the doorframe outside as He waited for you to finish, you could've sworn you heard him grumble a 'thank you'. Once you walked out, you were far too awake to go back to bed. You looked at bakugou and he had the same thought, you guys mine as well get ready for school.
"I'm gonna get my uniform on then I'll make lunches. Can you pack school bags today?" You asked as you walked towards your room at the end of the hall. Bakugou just nodded his head and went to gather your things and his uniform. You sighed as you picked up your UA blazer from off your closet floor and slipped it on over your white button up and skirt. Your room was simple, full sized bed with a wooden frame, dark wood desk and white curtains covering your windows. Besides a few house plants on your nightstand and window sill, you didn't really decorate much.
You had just moved in with Bakugou's family a few months before school started since your parents had received job offers in America. You could have accompanied your parents on their transfer, but you had just gotten into UA on recommendation. Your parents and Katsuki's both knew how important it was for you both to get in considering your love for All Might, so they didn't have the heart to take that away. You and Bakugou had been best friends since you learned to walk, your moms being friends since high school. Bakugou had a hard front, right from the start of your lives, there wasn't an exception for you. He was the closest thing you had to a brother, but his attitude and sporadic actions didn't lighten up towards you in any way. If you're being honest, you have a few scarrs caused by his quirk from training throughout the years. Nonetheless, his parents made your transition to high school as smooth as possible and you were eternally grateful for that.
