🎄ONCE BITTEN (AND TWICE SHY)🎄
dedicated to hallowe'en 2020 and xmas 2021, because this one was supposed to be for you
🎁SUMMARY🎁
Lin Park loved both his friends and Christmas; he truly did. What he hated however, was skating and getting goaded into doing so by Gen Warner, his old childhood neighbour and the seventh member of their ragtag bunch who had moved across the country for a couple of years for her job, who had moved back to town and into their friend group once again seamlessly in March. Oh, and also Lin's ex-girlfriend and the woman he once considered the love of his life before their relationship crumbled into dust when she moved away.
Honestly, it was barely awkward these days.
And with celebrating Christmas in a cabin, with traditions, a party, and a wedding in a snowy forest with her and the rest of their friends, what could possible go wrong?
(Now if he only had a way to make his friends stop treating his life like a goddamn Wham! song)
🎁HOUSEKEEPING🎁
Here we are again, despite all the odds against us! Happy Holidays! This year, I think I'm starting a bit earlier than before but I also don't really know what I'm writing, so either way, it'll be a fun time for all of us! This fic is in the same verse as The Thing About Perspective, and follows up a year after Will You Take This Ring (Pop). Although the focus is a different couple, Nelly and Alex are still in here, because I can't live without my fav couple. Also, the title is taken from Wham!'s Last Christmas, which is an absolute bop. Whether I get this short done before Christmas or not (edit: she did not, in fact, get it done until a whole year later), I hope that you and your loved ones are safe, and that you have a delightful festive season!
