This week's featured author, Lexi Tilman, is a highschool student with a deep rooted passion for literature.
"My mom and grandma had instilled a love for reading at a young age and I had always loved telling stories so eventually I just started writing down those ideas."
When asked about other major influences in her writing, Lexi replied, "I think my major influence was Beverly Cleary. I loved her style of writing and it made me want to write amazing stories like her."
Since the creation of her Wattpad account in July of this year, Lexi has finished three books. "When I write, I have a clear ending and beginning of my book, but a lot of times I get stuck in the middle," she commented.
This young author is now in the midst of writing yet another book titled Romeo and Juliet Plus Two.
"It's about two friends, Raine Wilson and Micah Whitaker who are in college and struggle with their feelings toward each other, an accidental pregnancy, and the rivalry between their mothers that seems to be tearing them apart. I'm really excited about writing this book and hope that my readers enjoy it as well."v
