"Okay so what's the project on again?" I asked confused.

"History."

"Right. Sorry I've been thinking about a lot of things lately and sometimes it just makes everything else a huge blur."

"It's okay. I know what you mean," she said with an understanding smile. Maybe she isn't so bad.

"Alright so let's start," I said dropping everything on my bed and laying out the poster on my desk.

"No no no. Chris is hot," July said with a laugh.

"Ahahaha okay. Whatever you say," I said falling into fits of laughter. July is actually really nice. Maybe she really is my friend? We were currently going over all the hot guys at school. I flipped through last years yearbook. I turned a page and scanned through it stopping on Jacks picture. Goddamn he's so attractive and such an ass.

"Who's that?" July said looking at Jacks picture.

"Um, he used to be my bestfriend in Middle School," I choked out, a tear threatening to fall onto my rose cheeks.

"What happened? Do you want to talk about it? I'm here for you Maddie. I don't care that you get bullied. It's probably over a stupid reason that doesn't even make sense. I promise not to tell anyone," she looked at my pretty serious. I debated wether or not to tell her. She seems like someone you can trust with anything so I decided to tell her.

"Alright, it all started in 6th grade. My parents got divorced and my mom started loosing money. People at school started to find out. Jack and I were friends since 2nd grade and he helped me through a lot of it. Then in 7th grade I was coming out of my class one day and Chelsea and her squad came and best me up. Jack saw, but didn't try to help me like normally did. We started fighting and eventually drifted apart. Then came high school. Chelsea and Jack started dating, the whole group started to bully me. Even the guys. And then, here I am."

"Oh my god that's terrible. I'm so sorry you went through all of that," she sounded serious. Not like the pity kind of sorry. But like the understanding kind of sorry. "Well it's getting pretty late I should get going, see you tomorrow?" She said standing up with her back pack.

"Yeah, ofcrourse. Bye July." She waved goodbye and went out the door.

I might actually have a new friend...
