Chapter Fourty - The Christmas Holidays Part 8 - Christmas Day Suprises Part 2

Maya's POV: (hi again)

When Emily left the living room to see her present, everyone quietly followed her to the door.

My jaw dropped when I heard her say,

"Mum?"

Lorraine wasn't dead. Oh. My. God.

She was like a second mum to me before we all thought she was killed.

After they had their talk, Peter walked into the room they were in.

"So that's why you hated it when I called you Emmy?" he asked her.

Emily introduced her mum and Peter before she suddenly looked nervous.

I forgot she was pregnant for a second. She's gonna tell her. Here we go.

"I have one more person to introduce you to mum... but they're not actually, here yet..." she said.

I turned to look at Tony who was trying not to laugh at the situation. Nat was just smiling at them.

"When will they be here?" Lorraine asked.

Oh my god she really has no clue. I laughed slightly before watching her reaction.

"In 8 months" she said, smiling at her mum.

"NO YOU'RE NOT OH MY GOD" Lorraine said, before hugging her daughter.

Me and the Avengers all just laughed in the doorway.

"This is the best Christmas ever"

"It really is... isn't it"

They stood there, hugging for a while, before turning around to see all of us standing in the doorway.

"Guys come here" Emily said, and we all ran over to them and joined the hug.

Emily's POV:

For the rest of Christmas Day we watched Christmas movies and ate popcorn in the living room until my dad's annual Christmas Party at 9pm.

Dad's Christmas Parties were always super extra so I knew how out of hand they'd get. For that reason, I am NOT wearing heels.

I looked for a dress in my wardrobe until I found the perfect one.

I tied my hair in a bun and did my makeup.

I put on a pair of white converse (bc I'd probably have to pull my dad off of someone before they kill each other, again)

and headed to Peter's room.

"Hey Pete" i said, walking up behind him 

"Hey ba- oh my god you look beautiful" he cut himself off, turning around and seeing my outfit.

"Thanks Pete-"

"Parker stop drooling over my daughter!" My dad said from the doorway.

"Bean you look amazing" he said, giving me a hug.

"Thanks dad, I'd go check on Bucky, see if he's stealing your beer" i said, and he quickly ran off.

"As I was saying... Thanks Petey, you look great too" i said, kissing his cheek.

"Shall we?" He said, holding his hand out.

"We shall" i said, taking his hand and walking out of his room, heading to the main room.
