FUNNY RUNNING INTO YOU HERE

"I personally think the "run past him, fall and let him help you up"-method is the ultimate winner", Taron said, while absently rubbing his chin. "He won't see through that one, for sure."

Everly rolled her eyes, lightly slapped him on the arm and plopped down on her couch next to him. "Can you stop, please? This is so not important, Taron!"

"Right....," Taron mused, "Coming up with devious ways to win Richard back is not needed desperately."

"I'm just going to let things run their course! Look, I don't expect you to get it," Everly said, "You don't know him nearly as well as I do, anyways."

She laughed loudly, as she saw the withering glare he sent her.

"I'm only joking, calm down! I am fully capable of handling my own love life, even though something is different. He just seems off lately, you know?

Or maybe you don't know," she added, when he sent her a doubtful glance. "Wait, do you know? What do you know that I don't?"

"He hasn't told me anything of that sort", Taron defended himself, lifting his hands in surrender, "and it doesn't seem like anything is off to me".

A Cheshire-like grin spread across his face. "But I'll do it anyway. I haven't messed with Dickie for quite some time; it'll be fun."

"I swear Taron, you better not. Let me take care of this myself, okay?", Everly warned.

"Okay okay, I get it", Taron snickered, "I won't interfere at all."

Sometime later, Taron remembered: "While we're on the topic of interfering, I have something I probably should own up to...", he trailed off. "Please don't kill me, and please try to remember how I just want the best for the two of you!"

"What, Taron?" Everly's voice was low and threatening. "What did you do?!"

Not a single sound could be heard outside the apartment, while Taron whispered his confession about how he accidentally told Richard that Everly had feelings for him, even though he specifically promised her not to.

There was a moment of utter silence, the calm before the storm, you could call it, before actual hell broke loose.

"YOU TOLD HIM?!" Everly could hear her shrill voice echo throughout the apartment.

"I swear, I was really trying to help, and so I just-" Taron, who had slowly walked backwards in the direction of the door, broke into a sprint and ran, before he could finish his sentence.

Everly, who chased after him, shouted at the top of her lungs, "I WILL KILL YOU TARON EGERTON, I SWEAR!"

She did not make it very far though, because as soon as she exited her apartment, her forehead struck something hard and seemingly chin-like, causing her to fall and land on the floor.

"Oh god, not this again", she exclaimed, while rubbing her sore forehead.

Oh god, not THIS again, she thought to herself, when she discovered why the floor in the hallway was uncharacteristically 3D-like and a bit softer. It was not the usual hardwood flooring.

It was a Scottish male by the name of Richard Madden, and Everly was lying right on top of him.

Her breath hitched, and she said "Oh, hi Richie" just a few beats too late. She looked down at him and gave him an apologetic smile "Funny running into you here! Did I hurt you?" Having completely forgotten everything about Taron, she fixated all her attention on Richard, who also, in her opinion, was much finer.

She extended a hand to him as she got up, intending to help him up as well.

He glanced at her hand and then looked up at her, with a glint in his eyes she all too late registered.

The second he grasped her hand, he used the leverage to pull her to him, and so she once again ended up sprawled on top of him.

"Oh, don't worry, love, the only thing that're hurt here are my feelings, when I found out my best mate was in town and none of you thought to tell me.", he finally replied, jokingly looking at her in suspicion.

Luckily Everly wasn't nearly as flustered the second time she lied on top of her former co-star. She was just thankful for being with Richard, joking around and having fun. This is an unusual feeling... It's probably the adrenaline from chasing Taron, she thought to herself. Wait.... TARON, her thoughts continued, as she suddenly remembered the man she had been chasing previously.

"Can you excuse me for just a second, Richie?", she flashed him an enormous smile, "I have something I just need to take care oooooff...", she trailed off, as she had already darted down the hallway, resuming the chase she had been momentarily distracted from.
