They spent the next few hours at the café, talking and joking and laughing. Granted, Richard didn't say very much, but Everly just thought that he might be tired. She wouldn't have thought more about it, except Everly couldn't help but notice that every time Taron told a particularly funny story, that sent her into laughing fits, Richard would clench his jaw or his fists, and look very unhappy.

The third time it happened, Richard, abruptly got out of his seat and asked if he could have a word with Taron. They left the table, receiving weird looks from Everly, and headed towards the men's bathroom.

They returned only a minute later, Taron looking rather smug, while Richard still looked a bit tense, albeit now he had a slight blush dusting his cheeks.

Or was that just something Everly imagined?

"Well, lads, I should get going.", Taron said, when they returned to the table. "Here, have my number, we should keep in touch." He grabbed a napkin, quickly jotted down some numbers, and handed it to her. "Bye Everly, bye Dickie!", he said, winking at them, as he left the café.

Everly glanced down at the napkin in her hand, a fond smile on her face. Taron really was something special.

She spotted, out of the corner of her eye, that Richard was clenching his fist again.

"Hey," she said softly.

No reaction.

"Richie?", she asked, grabbing his hand and gently brushing her thumb over his knuckles. She noticed how the tension immediately left his body, and how the corners of his mouth lifted upwards at the nickname. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah. Just a bit tired, I think."

Everly would've believed him, except for the fact that he couldn't seem to look her in the eyes, so she wasn't quite convinced.

"We should probably go too," she said, tasting the 'we' on her tongue. It actually sounded very good. She could very easily get used to mentioning Richard and herself as a 'we'. "We have to be on set early tomorrow."

He agreed to that, and insisted, since Everly had taken the bus to set that day, that the least he could do was to drive her home.

They had a blast on the way to her flat. Tiredness all forgotten, they spent the time in the car singing along to 'Faith' by George Michael and 'Addicted to Love' by Robert Palmer.

Everly kept getting surprised by Richard, and she was, yet again, when she heard him sing. He might not be Elton John, but his singing voice was almost as fine as his face. Needless to say, he was pretty. damn. amazing. She couldn't help but to glance over at him, every fifth second or so, drinking in his... well, everything, to be frank.

When they reached her flat, they hugged, and, before Everly could talk herself out of it, she leaned over and kissed Richard on the cheek.

She walked up to the front door, and quickly glanced back at him, before she went in.

He was watching her with a huge smile on his face.
