°10° Silhouettes

Pt.1 || ch.10

Ukai stood there looking down at you menacingly, shoveling through his pocket and procuring a piece of paper you recognized.

The piece of paper he had pulled out from his pocket was the permission slip that you had signed for Tadashi to be able to go to this trip. You gulped and stepped backward slightly. "Uhm what's the issue?" You muttered avoiding eye contact with the intimidating male before you.

"YOU signed this slip, its strictly parental permission only, unless the school knows of issues at home" he grumbled "as far as Takeda is aware...you have no issues with anything of that sort so would you care to explain this". you couldn't find the heart to explain the parent situation to this coach/store clerk so you dodged it, "why is that an issue if I'm allowed to come just based on Sugawara and Daichi's wishes?" you questioned, not bothering to hide your glare.

The man was clearly taken aback by this comment and decided it was best left alone "fine like I actually care about this stuff, Takeda just wanted me to ask" he smirked "tell your boyfriend its strictly separate rooms". Ukai laughed and then disappeared back inside the gym.

"boyfriend? who?!" You grumbled.

Sugawara and Daichi decided to tag along back to your house again, not for a sleep over this time but because their parents had gone out for the night, although Daichi had brought along a new addition. His little sister Aiko, her short chocolate hair and dark eyes made the 5yr old almost identical to her big brother. You couldn't lie that you already adored the tiny girl, even Tsukishima found her 'adorable' within reason.

"Hey Daichi do you want to take Aiko to the park for a bit while I get food ready?" you hummed releasing your hand from Aiko's own. the tanned boy nodded grabbing his sister and throwing her onto his shoulders earning a loud giggle from the girl "Faster! faster!" she cried as they went down the street in a sprint. "You seem to like her" Tadashi grinned "its a shame we don't have a little brother or sister" the grin quickly faded as Tsukishima put his hands on both of your brothers shoulders and engaged in light conversation, leaving you and Suga in a comfortable silence.

You could see the townhouses in the distance and where eager to get into the warmth of a house so you broke into a slow sprint quickly being followed by all three boys. However once you had gotten close to the house you could make out a pair of silhouettes, you stopped in your tracks once you caught the faces of the figures. "Hmm? [Name]-Chan what is it" the ashen haired boy asked his head perched on the crown of your head- with difficulty, you weren't all that much shorter than him - Tsukishima and Tadashi also stopped dead once they saw who it was. "Lets just join Daichi and Aiko, yeah?" you muttered in disbelief, however Tadashi was in a rage and flung himself forward Tsukishima barely a few centimetres behind him "Like hell we were gonna agree to that" Tsukishima snapped.

A few metres away from you stood your Ex friend, Hikari, and her new boyfriend from Aoba Johsai a familiar face, Oikawa Toru. Once the two boys saw the familiar visage of the setter they knew as a rival they stopped dead in their tracks again. "Yoo-hoo, [Name]-Chan!" The brunette chirped gleefully before falling into silence after catching his girlfriends eyes. Sugawara flinched at him saying your name in such a manner, he had to stop himself from doing something idiotic in spite of his feelings about the action. "Oh hiya Yamaguchi, whose that?" the girl smirked her eyes firmly on Sugawara "what a bland guy, not that I'm surprised plain jane [Name] goes for those types" Hikari grinned viciously, gripping onto the brunette setter beside her.

you could see the unfamiliar annoyance growing uncontrollably on Sugawara's face, you couldn't be upset at this it was understandable after all he was also being made fun of. "Lay off them hikari its me you want dead right?" the words tumbled from your lips thoughtlessly your face returning the famous stone it was known for at Shiratorizawa, she just tilted her head.

"Dead? no, alone? yes" her dark charcoal eyes tore deeply into your own you read them like a picture book though. She wanted you in pain and she had achieved it, after all the death threats and rumours concerning your family were all her creation and she watched you writhe in the pain that she caused in nothing but lustful satisfaction. She was here now to see if she could watch you crumble at her visage to observe your 'recovery' and discover how she could make it all come crashing down quickly enough to destroy you. "well I'm clearly not so push off Shirabu , I didn't ask to see your, frankly mirror shattering face so leave me be" you spat pushing past the pair your hand wrapped around Sugawara's wrist.

"What?! where did the afraid [Name] go!" Hikari whined "I didn't even know she still knew my last name"

"wait so it was that bad there?" Daichi said in disbelief, you had explained the whole situation to your classmates over pot ramen in the kitchen.

It had started when Hikari got a failing grade for the first time in a series of many, she began to feel lesser than her classmates even to you- who was known for pretty bad but still barely passing grades -she started to resort to taking her frustration out to another not so mutual friend and soon these little truths about the 'Stoney faced failure' were being spun into lies that made whole classes write threats on your desk and kick you as you passed in the halls. she soon found she herself engaging in these pastimes and enjoying them sadistically, however the craving for your belittlement became dangerous as she had gangs of girls lock you in the bathroom, and things progressed from threats to genuine aggression and ultimately an accident involving a girl who threatened your brother and you having an altercation that ended with you both in a bruised heap in one of the gyms storage rooms.

Tadashi and Tsukishima had gone to the blondes house mid way through your story, Tadashi clearly felt uncomfortable and you couldn't fault him for it. Sugawara sat in stunned silence, eyes pricked with tears, even Daichi seemed visibly upset- be it angry or sad -you had told them the story once you where sure that Aiko wouldn't bare witness to it of course, the girl was currently watching TV in the living room. it wasn't entirely unexpected but Suga leapt from his chair to hug you "I'm happy you told us" is all he said regarding the topic and within an hour the two where preparing to leave.

"remember to pack for next week alright!" Daichi called as he hoisted his sleeping sister into his arms. "will do, I promise" you grinned turning toward the ashen haired boy for presumably the last time for the night, but a sudden sadness washed over you as you realised you would have to wait a whole night before seeing him again, unable to quiet your emotion you embraced the boy again relaxing as he wrapped his arms around you. "careful guys, we don't want Suga to have kids during high school now do we!" Daichi snarked "you can call later jeez". the hug ended quickly after and the typical bickering ensued as the two left the house "bye [Name]-Chan" Sugawara waved off closing the door behind him, leaving you alone with your strangely beating heart and the Butterfly's in the pit of your stomach.

Hiya folks I'm really glad to say part 1 has been completed and i will be continuing with part 2 in the new year, I hope you all enjoy this chapter as my gift for the Christmas holidays whether you celebrate it or not!
