Endgame Rewrite

Chapter Six

[Thanos' garden. Thanos is walking through a field when his eyes turn red and Wanda is standing behind him. Lorna used her magnokinesis to get the gauntlet. Thanos throws Wanda away from him and she stands up and returns to the future. He starts running toward Lorna. Lorna tosses the gauntlet to Bucky who throws it to Peter and Lila. Lila tosses it to Cooper and Cassie. Cassie throws it to Scott who throws it back to Thanos. The group smiles as they all disappear. Thanos looks at the gauntlet and finds it is missing all of the stones.]

[Cut to inside the Avenger's Lab. Peter carefully places the stones in the gauntlet he made while Harley and Rocket watch. With nervous precision, Peter manipulates the machine and carefully places all six stones into the gauntlet]

ROCKET: Boom!

[Peter and Harley jump a bit, and quickly groan at Rocket's joke. Scene cuts to another room with the new finished gauntlet. Everyone is gathered around it.]

ROCKET: All right. The glove's ready. Question is, who's gonna snap their freaking fingers?

THOR: I'll do it.

SCOTT LANG: Excuse me?

THOR: It's okay.

EVERYONE: (holding up Thor) No, no, no, whoa. Stop. Stop. Wait a sec. Hey, hey-

BUCKY BARNES: Wait, wait, Thor, just wait. We haven't decided who's gonna put that on yet.

THOR: I'm sorry. What, we're just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?

SCOTT LANG: We should at least discuss it.

THOR: No, no, sitting here staring at that thing is not gonna bring everybody back. I'm the strongest Avenger, okay? So this responsibility falls upon me. It's my duty.

PETER STARK: It's not about that-

THOR: (hushes everyone up) It's not that- Stop it! Just let me! (he tears up) Just let me do it. Just let me do something good. Something right.

PETER STARK : Look- It's not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent, I'm telling you, you're in no condition.

THOR: What do you- What do you think is coursing through my veins right now?

LOKI: Cheez Whiz?

THOR: Lightning.

LILA STARK: Yeah.

CASSIE BARTON: Lightning won't help you, pal. It's gotta be all of us.

COOPER BARTON: What?

ROCKET: She's right. If we all do it together then we all get exposed to the power. We all live.

BUCKY BARNES: Together.

COOPER BARTON: Rise or fall.

WANDA BARNES: The Scarlet Witch.

BUCKY BARNES: The White Wolf.

LILA STARK: Hawkeye.

PETER STARK: Spider-Man.

SHURI STARK: The Black Panther.

HARLEY STARK: Iron Man.

CASSIE BARTON: The Wasp.

COOPER BARTON: The Ant-Man.

THOR: The God of Lightning.

LOKI: The God of Mischief.

[Everyone either holds hands or has their hand on a shoulder. They all watch as Peter puts on the gauntlet. He snaps and a rush of power escapes. Scott walks towards the outside windows and sees plants and birds. Cooper hears his old phone ringing and sees it's his father calling]

COOPER BARTON: (struggling to speak from sheer happiness) Dad. Dad.

SCOTT LANG: Guys- I think it worked!

PETER STARK: (hugging Lila) We won.
