pain, pain, pain

Robyn had given up fighting for her freedom and instead sunk into a corner of darkness, almost clutching onto it with her life, or maybe it was the other way around. She had lost count of her stay at this prison.

There was no peak of light in her dungeon, she'd explored her cell countless times with her fingertips, looking for something to help her escape; any hidden buttons as bricks or a misplaced weapon to cause some damage, but she had long given up hope of being saved. Hope is what lead her into this mess, optimism. Before dwelling too much about it she placed her walls in her mind before her thoughts crumbled down on her.

All Robyn can do was distract herself, she recited anything she can think of to keep from shattering, from lullabies to potion recipes to arithmancy equations. She longed for a distraction as soon as she peeled her eyes opened, steering clear of the disappointment of waking up again. She found bread outside her cell and a glass of water, a generous amount of food compared to the other days. Before she can crawl across her cell to grab the glass of water, she heard faint noises down the hall. She knew what was coming, she slammed her walls up again, steadied them, and prepared herself for the endless amount of pain coming.

"Mudblood, up" a deep voice shot above her, Robyn got up and let her head down, suddenly finding her bare feet interesting. "Look at me", the voice boomed. Robyn mustered up any ounce of courage she could find in her and lifted her head up to make contact with grey hues. Antonin Dolohov, her worst nightmare as of now, Robyn felt a shiver run up her spine as Dolohov smirked at her. Just as he was about to grab her elbow to shove her to the lab, he remembered how much of a danger she is, and dropped his arm.

Thinking about it, Robyn is a ticking bomb. She had unique wandless powers. She couldn't control them, not anymore. They had to find that out the hard way, the only thing she remembered was being tied down to a medical chair, velcro straps around her arms and legs that were spelled to hold her down. The next thing she knew, she was screaming her lungs out as a machine made contact with the crown of her head, she remembers glass shattering everywhere and fires igniting in every corner of the small room in the huge lab, her scream had conjured up her own fiendfyre. Robyn didn't have time to react as she felt herself being levitated and dragged in the air to the exit of the building, she didn't realize she just set fire to a whole building with her scream. she didn't intend to. Robyn knew her magic was unique and powerful but not too this extent, they later found out that whoever made skin to skin contact with her would be writhing in pain.

No one understood her "gifts", her parents were just muggles. Nothing special, she didn't have any blood connection to any great, powerful wizard. So her life became an experiment, at the hand of the dark lord. Thrown into a cell for god knows how long, to wake up to the same routine of being shoved into a chair while multiple machines beeped around her.

"Mudblood, hey Mudblood!". Robyn realized she'd zoned out in front of Dolohov, how embarrassing. "Thought we lost you for a second" he sneered and laughed at his own joke before he gestured for her to start moving, he pulled out a vial that contained yellow liquid, Robyn understood, took the vial, and downed the potion that suppressed her magic. She pulled her thin arms around her dirty hospital gown and started her walk to her other hell.

As she was about to take a right onto the corridor that led to her room that she'd memorized while looking for weapons, a body stopped 2 feet away from hers. "Not today, the dark lord requested your presence". Dolohov saw her surprised expression before she can hide it and light-heartedly chuckled as if this was a funny situation, he brushed past her shoulder, making sure not to touch her "dirty blood", and indicated that she should follow him. she did, what choice did she have. She'd tried to run away before but found wards and barriers around the building that she couldn't get through.

They reached a large room with a huge nest of snakes in the middle of it, and there sat Voldemort. "My lord", she heard from beside her and saw Dolohov kneel from the corner of her eye and leave the room. Was she expected to kneel too? well, she won't but was she expected to? "How is our young mudblood doing today? still not talking?" Voldemort gave her a fake pout and then started laughing. "No my lord, she still isn't talking. we ran tests on her and we can't find the source of her powerful magic, although we did have an interesting find", Doctor Johnson spoke to the huge snake in a snake nest. Doctor Johnson was her primary doctor and Robyn was her little lab rat to experiment on. "And what is it you found doctor?", Robyn rose an eyebrow at the conversation she was hearing between Voldemort and Doctor Johnson, she was quite intrigued. "yes what is it you found," Robyn thought.

"We don't have access to her brain, her occlumency skills are off the chart, we've brought in our most talented, and not a dent was made on her mind walls". Voldemort hummed, and turned towards her, getting up from his snake nest and taking steps towards her. Robyn was frozen in her spot, not sure what to do. "What can you be hiding from us mudblood, it can't be valuable. you've lost". She felt daggers shoot into her head.

pain, pain, pain

She felt a brutal force slam against her mind walls. she fought back with all the strength she had in her. Her walls wavered under his legilimency, but she fought back regardless. He circled her walls and stopped at the back of her mind to try the strength of those walls, They fell. She felt her knees hit the ground, that didn't stop him from delving into her brain. Robyn was furious, she sent her own force towards Voldemort's and set up walls against each of her memories, she fought him off long enough but he saw a couple of her school memories.

When the dark lord got out of her head and stumbled back, he smirked at her. After 15 seconds of silence, he turned to doctor Johnson "anything else doctor?"

"no my lord, that's all I have to report"

She couldn't think, she just outed with it and screamed. The last thing she saw was a surprised Voldemort and a terrified Doctor Johnson, but she screamed and her fist fell to the ground. She felt the ground rumble under her, she let her left palm lift towards Voldemort and felt the magic leave her body through her hand. Voldemort conjured up a complicated shield right before her magic hit him, she stood up and stepped her right leg forward.

"Petrificus totalus!"

A white light came towards her from the left and before she can raise her right hand to block it, it hit her square in the chest. she felt her body parts lock and she fell onto the ground, all she could see now was the white ceiling. "impressive" was all she heard before a panicked voice rang in the room "my lord! she was given a potion to suppress her magic, this is not possible. I made sure to Dolohov how important it is she takes the pot-"

"nevermind that, give me an answer to how her magic isn't suppressed by your so-called strongest potion in this field"

she heard a sharp intake of breath on the left of her, and she then heard "I was getting to that, I didn't think she would lash out on you, forgive me my lord" Robyn can sense the fear radiate off of Johnson's voice. Despite her fear, she continued talking "I ran some tests and established that the potion only suppresses an amount of her magic, I researched all the potion suppressants that have been made, but the one I give her is the strongest one. I've tried making new recipes but nothing has worked my lord".

A long sigh "have you found anything on her parents? their whereabouts perhaps, the least you could do is be useful and provide me information that is helpful"

"and if that diamond ring turns brass, papa's gonna buy you a looking glass. and if that looking glass gets broke, papa's gonna buy you a billy goat, and if that billy goat won't pull, papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull, and if that cart and bull turn over, papa's gonna buy you a dog called Rover. and if that dog named Rover won't bark, papa's gonna buy you a horse and cart. and if that horse and cart fall down, you'll still be the sweetest little baby in town"

A tear slipped and ran down her temple, but she pushed through it and tucked that memory and any memory of her parents in the furthest and darkest place in her mind, she put up walls upon walls around that memory. She didn't realize there was talking until Voldemort stepped into her line of sight and smiled at her.

"call me the cursed".
