Butter cookiesButter cookies is originated from Denmark. They are also known as Danish cookies, Brysslkex and Sables.Because of its crisp texture, it is categorized in The Biscuit Collection.
They are flavored with vanilla, chocolate coconut or topped with sugar crystals. They come in different shapes. Using piping bags gives you twisted shapes.
Its often served during Christmas time and its a popular gift in China during the Chinese new Year.
Ingredients
Flour(Soft) 240g/96oz
Salt 1tsp/3g
Unsalted butter 227g
Egg 2
Vanilla extract 2tsp
Sanding sugar 1/3 cups (Optional)/ Sugar
Procedure
(1) Firstly, you place your 227g of unsalted butter together with 3g of salt and 1/3 cups of sugar in a plastic bowl and cream them using a hand mixer or a stand mixer.
For those of you who don't know what it looks like here's a picture of them.

(2) Now add the eggs to the mixture and cream till its light.(3) And now add 2tsp of vanilla extract.
(4)Pour the 240g of flour in the mixture and mix well.
(5) Roll the dough in a log and wrap the dough in a parchment paper or plastic and chill in the fridge for an hour.
(6) Once the dough chilled, sprinkle sanding sugar on a clean surface ie. A kitchen board. Unwrap the dough and roll in the sugar. (or you can use normal sugar)
(7)Use a knife to cut the dough I to slices of even thickness. You can use a cookie cutter to do this.

(8) Place cookies in a baking tray lines with baking sheet and bake at 350F for 10-20 minutes or until the edges is just turning golden brown.
For a crisper cookie, after baking, leave the door slightly open. This will dehydrate the cookies further to that butter cookie out of the tin.
