Tyler's POV
"Phew, that was tiri--" I stopped, hearing the warp pad activate, but with a stranger sound to it.
"Who's... Who's there?"
"Steven?"
"Pearl?"
"Anybody?"
No response. I can only think of it either being amethyst pranking me or some of those green bots Steven told me about.
I cautiously approach the warp pad. Before I could see what's there, something sliced my hammer in half.
"Okay, what surprised me is that you done that to my hammer." I yelled, summoning my hammer once more.
"You can't." A distorted voice said.
I stopped, with a confused face. "You're not deploying a game reference, are you...?
Finally, I turned around to see a tall, charcoal-skinned girl like Obsidian's skin, covered with armor, and blank eyes. She carries the scythe from my dream.
I'm still not that surprised as for what has happened to me for the past month.
"Who might you be, ma'am...?" I asked.
"My name is not important, but your corpse will be my prize" She threatened.
"Well, that's nice." I said sarcastically, about to slam her face.

Oh, God... she was crazy... I'm just glad I survived... I throw the unconscious assassin into a nearby lake. "I gotta get to Steven..." I said, limping to the warp pad.
I play the warp whistle weakly.
Once I got to the cabin, everyone helped me up.
"Tyler, are you okay?!" Pearl screamed. "What happened?"
"An assassin gem... Tried to... NNGH!" I grip my stomach in pain.
"Steven!" Garnet called.
"I'm on it!" Steven licked his hands and healed me.
"Proxy." Pearl muttered.
"What?" I asked. "Proxy is what is left of Smoky Quartz. She's been partially corrupted. All the monsters we fight on missions are corrupted gems. We preserve them in bubbles in hopes of them regenerating normally. We are trying to figure out a way to help them, but..." Pearl stopped.
...
"Where'd you find her?" Garnet asked me.
"The island Lars, Sadie, and Steven went to." I replied.
Amethyst and Garnet warp to the island.
