A court of fire and darkness

Chapter 17

Aelin-

            As we walk up the stairs I start to panic. I'm still trying to grasp the fact that I'm free, now Rowan is here. When we get up the stairs I pause and turn to Fenrys. 

           "Goodnight Fenrys."

            "Goodnight Aelin," and he goes into his room.

            After he shuts the door I turn immediately towards my- our room.

            Oh I'm definitely panicking.

            He follows me in and I close the door. 

            We just stand there for a few seconds. Maybe minutes. I don't know what to do. What if he is mad I didn't tell him about the mating bond? He probably doesn't want me as his mate. Why would he want me? I mean yes, I'm very hot, but he had Lyria. I guess I could name other great qualities but he still had Lyria. I'm dragged out of my thoughts as he slowly makes his way over to me. His hand reaches out but he pulls it back. I don't care if he doesn't accept the fact that we're mates, I reach out and hug him.

          I can tell he's a little surprised but he wastes no time squeezing me back. I can feel tears running down my face but I don't care, there's tears running down his face too. 

          He pulls away and I pull him right back into a kiss. We hug and kiss for a few minutes, maybe a few hours, then we get in the comfy bed and sleep.

Ok this is short (and bad) but I just needed to make a chapter about them reuniting. I'm sorry this took so long! I will try to get the next chapter out in about a week.
