Marin shivered as the cold air kept hitting him while he slept, his eyes were closed and he was still asleep, but his body's natural response was to curl up more. The wind constantly brushed on his face making it twitch along with his shoulder, everything to Marin felt way more chilly than it should be. Eventually he woke up from his dream and realized that it was actually cold in the bedroom but he didn't know why. He felt next to him and panicked when he also realized Adrien was gone before a gust blew at the top of his head. He looked up and saw that the roof trap door was open. He gingerly began to climb up it where he was met by the sight of a sea of Parisian lights and a single Adrien, looking over the railing at it. He climbed up more and began walking on the roof, the floor was a bit wet but that was a given since it was raining. He listened quietly, along with the whistle of the wind he could also hear soft singing from Adrien.
Moving closer but quietly to make sure Adrien didn't notice him, he heard the other singing in a slow and soothing soft voice.
"This is a song...for the lonely." Adrien continued to sing to the front of the bakery until Marin was right behind him.
"Can you hear me tonight?" Marin sang along. This startled Adrien and he panicked and ended up banging his hip against the metal railing.
"Ugh!" Adrien groaned in pain.
"Sorry baby!" Marin exclaimed, pulling Adrien away from the edge and into his arms.
"Jeez." he said.
"Sorry, I didn't think it'd scare you." the other said back as he carried Adrien and rested him in the lawn chair under the makeshift tarp roof. He softly ruffled Adrien's blond hair.
"Why are you up here?" Marin asked him,
"I was gonna transform to get Plagg some cheese." Adrien said back
"I see." Marin said, softly sticking his nose in the crook of Adrien's neck in an act of affection.
"You want me to go and get the cheese?" Marin asked Adrien in a soft voice,
"Yeah... if that's okay with you." Marin simply nodded back.
"The camembert is in a cabinet on the side of my desk next to my bed, if it smells bad, that's it." Adrien said as he got comfy in the lawn chair.
"Mmmm." Marin said back. He walked to the edge of the balcony and whispered for Tikki to transform him. He quickly leapt away after that, swinging and ziplining in the direction of Notre-Dame to get to Agreste Manor.
It was probably 4:00 a.m. give or take, but Marin just kept ziplining until he eventually reached the gates of the mansion that was previously Adrien's home. He wondered to himself if the window was open or not, if it wasn't he'd have to tell Adrien about it.
Much to his shock the window was in fact open as he walked around the corner of the house and he pulled himself up there in front of the window, but just before he went inside he stopped and stared for a moment. There was someone in there in the dark, he paused thinking that it might've been a burglar or akuma. But as he slowly got closer and closer he saw that it was a person who was in a fetal position making soft pitiful noises. He paused for another moment before the hairstyle gave away that it was Gabriel in there, hugging a pillow, crouched and crying.
Ladybug slowly lowered himself trying to be as soft as possible before he eventually landed on the carpet with a soft thud. This alerted Gabriel who whipped his head around and was shocked at the realization that ladybug had seen him cry.
