Adrien sat in the bedroom, his bag was already packed and he was just waiting for the Gorilla to come and pick him up. His phone was in his hand while the other held Marin's. The other had drowsy eyes but still made an effort to stay awake and see Adrien off. Paris was smiling, extensive lights, a far city expansion, boats on the Seine. Up in the sky it was clear for the first time in quite a while, against the black sky there was scattered glitter and various luminous entities.

The telltale sound of car wheels signified him of his bodyguards arrival. Looking over at Marin; the other gave him a pleased look with an expression that told him to go. Adrien gently had Marin lie down again, exhausted and placed a soft kiss on his cheek which the other reciprocated. Grabbing his bag and other items he was off, walking down the stairs, he gave his farewells to the Dupain-Cheng's and stopped in front of the bakery. There, was the broad man, Adrien waved at him with his left hand before stepping into the car.

In there he continuously rubbed the ring and kept adjusting it, it felt just about right. The gorilla got in as well and just grunted before driving in the direction of their home. The car ride felt longer than usual, it wasn't common that something had Adrien bored but this one case turned out to be it. It was only 7 but looked like 10, he had school tomorrow and he didn't know what exactly to expect, everything outside of his personal life would be the same. Well... maybe not Chloe. Her expression would probably consist of a grimace tomorrow when she sees him, he amused himself with that thought.

It wasn't like him to want to demean someone or kill their ego but sometimes even for the nicest people, enough is enough. Peering to his side through the window he saw the many tall apartment buildings and thought back to when he was with Marin. He'd requested that they get an apartment like one of those, Marin also wanted 3 kids with them as well. Adrien couldn't help but let a smile grow on his face, he wanted to stand by Marin at all times, even though he wasn't sure if he could handle three kids at once.

The feelings of unadulterated joy kept growing in him, he wished for this every time. Right now, the world felt like a better place

Adrien woke up softly, his back hurt a bit due to the pose he was in when he fell asleep. The blankets on the bed were both piled and scattered on him, the pillow had an indent matching his face and Plagg was right next to him. He paused for a minute before realizing he was back at home. Sunlight filtered through the windows into his room and on his face, the rays struck everywhere in the room, leaving no place dark.

He trudged his feet, the bed was an absolute mess with all his blankets, tell someone it was Grey Gardens and they would believe you. Getting bothered by it he went over and started folding the blankets and made his bed. At times his OCD would kill him and in other moments he couldn't give a shit whether something was unorganized or not.

After taking a nice morning shower and brushing his teeth he started to dress, it was October now meaning that things would be a bit colder. He scrapped the usual shirt and blazer and instead dug deeper in his closet to look for something else. Going through the boxes and shelves of fall wear he settled on one, putting on a white T and a light grey button-up cardigan. Then he slipped on a pair of black jeans this time, going further into the closet and looking at himself, he had to admit he looked pretty cute in this combination.

He walked through the quiet house and down the stairs and into the dining room, once he got in the very first thing he noticed was a note on the table. It read "Happy Birthday!!!" in bright green letters. It was something so outlandish for his father that he couldn't help but laugh, the old man was acting so differently. Then he paused... he'd totally forgotten it was his birthday, he wasn't sure just how many people would swarm him but he knew there would definitely be a lot. Taking the croissant and a napkin with him, he decided to have his breakfast on the go.
