The sky was now completely dark, a raven color almost, the stars were out though and gave some much needed scattered lights. Both Marin and Adrien could see them as they were lying on the beach chairs out on top of the bakery. The street they were on seemed to be the only place in Paris that wasn't covered in clouds since they were in the center of what looked to be a never ending expanse of dark purple.

"Babe?" Marin asked Adrien, the other had closed his eyes and their breathing had slowed.

"Yeah?" He asked back, a smile on his lips

"When should we tell my mom and dad?" Marin asked

"About what? Me getting kicked out or us being together?"

"The kicked out thing." Marin said to Adrien

"I don't think we should anytime soon." Adrien said back, his phone was in his pocket as he was hoping tonight or tomorrow morning his father would call him and tell him he was going back home and maybe even apologize.

"I'm sure they'll be okay with it, maybe they'll let you live here or something of the sort." Marin said back. It was probably true, Mr. and Mrs. Cheng were the last people to be willing to throw someone out, or send them to an orphanage, not that Adrien really had anything against it, he just preferred they didn't. Couple that with the fact that they thought he and Marin were friends and you pretty much had almost a guarantee of either being taken in, or being sent to somewhere that was relatively nice or peaceful.

Adrien sighed again, this time it was caught by Marin,

"I know baby." Marin said back to him, they were both worried as to what Adrien's fate was. He still technically had a contract with the Agreste company as a model, so unless that got terminated he still had a job and source of income. Frankly that was a pretty good amount of money he made from being a model but his father, being the owner could cut him off any time from his part-time job. He bit his tongue again trying to hold back the silent anger and fear that was overtaking him, he just wanted to scream. Adrien got off the lawn chair and walked over to the sky roof where he began climbing back down into the bedroom. The outside was beginning to get cold and while he did hate heat and sticky, muggy summers more, he wasn't exactly a fan of being in cold Autumn air.

He took a deep breath and stared at what remained of the ruined Notre-Dame.

"So, what else do you want for your birthday?" Marin asked Adrien, this shocked him a bit since he'd already told him.

"But I told you, just a place to stay." he said kinda shyly.

"No, I mean something else, like something I can tangibly give you." Marin said back,

"Well... I have everything I want right now, and now that I know that you're ladybug, I kinda feel like I already got a gift." he responded. Adrien was lowkey flustered by now at his boyfriend's persistence to give him a gift.

"C'mon, please tell me? It's going to kill me if I can't get you anything." Marin said, exaggerating it all.

"Okay then..." Adrien thought for a moment.

"After college." he said back to Marin

        "What?" the other asked, confused

"After we get out of college...I want you to propose to me." Adrien said looking back at Marin. He looked like he was threatening to cry.

"A- Ahh! Too far?!" Adrien asked, panicking a bit, worried he might have said something bad to Marin.

"No, I...just thought you'd make me wait longer." Marin said before pulling Adrien into a warm hug and smiled, eyes closed and tears lightly streaming.
