September 4th 2020:

Gavin walked down the street, holding a bunch of items such as food and clothes in his arms.

He'd been out on the streets for almost 2 weeks now, and had basically gotten the hang of things. Sure, sometimes it was difficult, and it got lonely very quick, but he managed to get used to it, as sad as that sounds.

As Gavin turned the corner to his alleyway, he heard yelling from it. Venturing down to see what was happening, he let out a gasp at the sight before him.

Three grown men who looked to be in their 30's were gathered around Van Gogh, yelling curses and kicking the poor cat around as if he were a football.

"Van Gogh!" Gavin yelled, dropping everything as he ran towards the men and shoved them aside, scooping up the one eared cat in his arms.

Van Gogh let out a weak mewl, curling up in the boy's arms and shivering slightly against the cold. Gavin's heart broke at the sight of his cat covered in cuts and bruises.

That sadness was soon replaced with rage as he remembered the attackers that had done this to him.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Gavin snapped at the three men, standing up to glare at them as he held Van Gogh in a protective way, shielding him from them.

The first man, with strawberry blonde hair, scoffed at him. "What the hell is wrong with us? What's wrong with you, shoving us like that?"

"Oh, I don't know, maybe cause you were beating a cat!?" Gavin spat. "Seriously, how low can you get to do that?!"

"Don't talk to us like that, bitch." The second man with raven black hair snarled.

"I'll talk to you however I want. Fucking assholes." The blue haired boy spat, standing his ground. He was a bit worried of what they would do, but he couldn't show that.

The third man, a brunette, smirked at him. "Why do you care so much about a stupid cat? Is it yours?"

"Yes, dick, he is mine."

Ignoring the insult, the brunette continued. "It doesn't have a collar. And from the looks of it, neither do you~" He smirked.

Gavin tried not to shiver in disgust as the man looked him up and down.

"Look, I don't want any trouble. Just leave me and my cat alone, then we'll never see eachother again, ok?"

The three men turned to eachother, mumbling to themselves so that Gavin couldn't catch a word. It made him uneasy.

"Ok kid," The first man turned back with a false smile. "We'll let you go."

The blue haired boy blinked. "R..Really?"
