Niall and Harry stayed with us for a week, like they said they would, but the plan changed when Harry suggested I should go to London with him and stay there for the weekend before I went back to classes.
At first, I didn't want to agree with him, because I was worried about Karen, but Niall offered himself to stay with her. She was definitely feeling better; she started cooking again and talking and laughing. I know she was doing that stuff to distract herself and when I asked her about it, she actually answered my question which surprised me, because I thought she wouldn't. She said that she doesn't want to waste any second of her life thinking about him and that it'lltake time, but she'llbe okay.
I was pleased hearing her say that.
When I told her about what Harry suggested, she insisted that I should go with him and not worry about her. That is why I'm sat now on Harry's blue couch in London, scrolling through my phone, waiting for Harry to be done.
We got here a few hours ago. We spent those hours being lazy and doing nothing. Then, out of nowhere, he said we would be going out.
I didn't fight him off though, I thought it was a good idea since I also needed some fresh air.
He said he'll do something before we go, and I've been waiting here for like an hour now.
What is taking him so long?
I take my eyes off my phone and direct my gaze towards the stairs when I hear his steps approaching the living room.
"Finally." I groan, standing up as he takes the last step of the stairs. "You're worse than Karen when it comes to getting ready."
"What can I say? I want to look perfect." He says, gesturing his hands up and down his body.
I look him up and down. He's wearing a grey sweater and black skinny jeans with a green bandana wrapped around his head.
He does look good, I'm not gonna lie.
"Can we go now?" I say looking towards the door, so I don't have to stare at him anymore. His beauty is distrating and it always makes me feel nervous. It's better if I just don't look at him.
I feel him breathe deeply before he says, "Sure."
He walks past me to the door and opens it, signalling me to step out. I do as he tells me and stroll towards the car in front of the porch.
"No," Harry says, and I turn around to look at him with a frown. "We'll walk."
"Oh, okay," I mumble as Harry turns right and I'm quick to follow him.
He looks like he's in a bad mood and if he is, I wouldn't know why. He's been like this since this morning. I just wish I knew the reason why he's like this. He's here but at the same time he isn't.
This is so frustrating.
We walk in silence for a few minutes until I decide to break it. I don't like it when we aren't talking. I don't like the complete silence that surrounds us-this is not who we are.
"Where are we going?" I ask him, tilting my head to the side so I can look at him.
He doesn't glance at me once and keeps his gaze focused on the streets around us as he speaks, "You'll see." His tone is dismissive, and his accent is thick.
I look in the direction he's looking to hide the fact that his words hurt me a little bit. His words are not the ones that hurt, but his tone is. The way he said it left a weird feeling in my stomach. I know he's upset about something, but he doesn't have to take it on me when I might not even be the reason why he's like this.
