Ilibilge Hatun POV

Ilibilge Hatun walked out of the guest tent feeling worried. She didn't know why she had been summoned to the marquee but she hoped she hadn't done something wrong. She stopped at the front of the tent. "Tell Acer bey I'm here." she told him. He put his hand to his chest and went in. After a few seconds he came back out.                                                                                                                   "Acer Bey will see you." she went in. The tent was beautifully decorated with Gold weaponry and complex designs made on the walls. The old man himself sat at the huge beys hide with gold coins surrounding it. She bowed.                                                                                                                                            "Come sit kism." he told her. She sat on a small cushion. "You are obviously wondering why I summoned you here." she nodded. "Well in these three days you have been here, you have been a tremendous help, but later today my elder son is coming. You are already familiar with my younger son Yagiz, Lakin my older son is the complete opposite.                                                                    "How do you mean Bey?" she asked.                                                                                                                         "Well fist of all, he is very soft hearted. He is unable to hurt anyone of innocence. 'Noble' we keep what we do I covered so that he is unaware of the cause he is working for." he told her.                "Lakin, the bey of the tribe can surely deal with him easily."                                                               "Dhooro darsan, that is the problem though. I'm not the bey of the tribe my brother Avar is, so we must keep what we do hidden from him, he is busy dealing with migration problems in the city."                                                                                                                                                                                             Ilibilge hatun looked extremely puzzled "Why would you tell me this? I'm only agreeing to this deal so my nomad tent-" Acer bey started to laugh he wheezed and coughed. He grabbed a water bowl near him and drank. When he finally got ahold of himself he said. "Ilibilge Hatun, do not pretend. I saw the look in your eyes when you saw the gold. You didn't bother to consider until I showed it." Ilibilge hatun looked ashamed. "Bak, I'm sure you have been taught to 'always help others' and 'always put others before yourself' and more garbage like that? But that's not how life is, in life. You must look out for yourself first then others. I'm not against helping people but when it stands in the way of your goals, there's no point to it.    "Aywallah bey."                                                                                                                                                                        "Now my elder son is very close to the bey, they're almost the same person. I know that the Bey is nearing his death, and he knows it too. But here's the thing, I'm worried he will choose my elder son as his successor.       I'm assuming you want my help in becoming bey?" Ilibilge said.                                                                    "Exactly,  want you to become close to my elder son, you will advise him subtly. And you will give hints of disliking me. By the time Avar dies, My son will totally trust you and we can deal with him then. Now as for your payment for today. He handed her a pouch of gold. You may leave now." She left feeling totally elated.
