The rest of the world
was black and white
but we were in
screaming color.

Friends, what a strange word. It's a word people call each other to show their favoritism toward each other, I have friends but none of them of like Jack, none of them crave to come one or just randomly show up like Jack does but I adore that, everyone need a friend like Jack.Did I just friend-zone Jack?
Jack is something much more than the word "friend" he is more than words could ever describe, he's like a character only described in books, Jack is more than I'll ever be.
you know how the moon only glows because it's reflecting off of the sun well that's me with him he's my sun and I only shine
because he's there.I'm not sure if I love Jack but I know he isn't just a friend, because friends don't talk to each other like that, friends don't steal secret glances, friends don't look at each other like their about to kiss.
But we do.
Jack and I aren't friends.
We're so much more.

"Have y'all had a fight yet?" My mother asks popping a M&M in her mouth
"No," I say "Not yet at least, Jack isn't the type of person that fights."
"He might not be," She says "But everyone has their fallouts, and if they don't you're doing something wrong." I didn't have time to process her words as the doorbell rang
"That's him," She sings running towards the door.
I shake my head laughing I hear him talking and then her, soon they both walk into the kitchen.
"You two ready?" She asks putting her purse on her shoulder
Jack an I nod and follow her to the car.
Jack, mom and I are going to eat with Jack aunt and uncle, we're going to Pizza Hut Jack said it was their favorite restaurant.
Once we all got settled in the car she drove off, Jack and I in the back and mom in the front.
"You look beautiful." Jack whispered his lips brushed against my ear
"Keep it PG back there!" My mom warned
My face turned bright face and I hot really hot, I place my face in my hand while Jack and mom laughs.
I want to die.
the laughter died down when we pulled into the restaurant, we all climb out walking into the pizza place.
Jack pointed at he's aunt and he lead us to the table, Jack on my right, my mom on my left and Jack's aunt and uncle in front of us.
"So you're the famous Winter Hiland?" His uncle asks "Jack won't shut up about how nice looking your face is." He mocked and my face flushed but a smile pushed it's way upon my lips
He talks about me.
He thinks I'm nice looking.
What is air?
"Winter, dear it's a pleasure to meet you, Jack has told us a lot about you." His aunt greets "I'm Marie, and this is Joseph." Marie nods to Jack's uncle
"Pleasure is all mine," I smile
Throughout the night was filled with laughs and pizza, lots and lots of pizza.
We soon parted ways, Jack tagged along with us again.

"Have you ever slept before?" Jack asks
Jack and I are sitting criss-cross in my basement.
"I think when I was fourteen, and my mom told me I slept a lot as a baby." I say
"C'mere," Jack coos "I'm going to try to make you fall asleep the same way you do to me."
"Okay," I laugh laying my head on his lap "Don't get disappointed if it doesn't work."
"I won't." He smiles
His calloused fingers trail down my face softly as if he was touching a feather, he left a trail of fire and ice and all things nice, his thumb caressed my eyebrow then over my eyelid, my nose, my cheek, and jawline.
My stomach was a zoo on a rampage with elephants, hippos, and giraffes fighting in my stomach my skin felt like fire and ice at the same time, my mouth was dry, my body frozen.
Oh but in the most beautiful way I was collapsing but mending in that moment I was infinite and destroyed.
I felt anything but sleepy Jack's fingers kept retracing my face leaving the same addicting touch, my eyes stayed on Jack's neither of us daring to break contact.
His eyes was a story of their on, they glistened even in the darkest of nights and brightest of days.
Everyone need a safe place, somewhere to run to when they needed someone, somewhere to call home.
And I've found my safe place and my home, in his eyes and I wasn't moving anytime soon.
"Winter," Jack said "I really thought this would work."
I laugh as his fingers trail through my hair like silk, I wasn't even disappointed about not sleeping because if I were asleep I would have missed this feeling that makes you want to melt into the other person ever so willingly.
