Nicolas alexander's P.O.V.

He came before his shift started. looking better than earlier if that even make sense.

Believe it or not me and nurse yana are close. almost consider her as my bestfriend thats why i rant out at her earlier about what i felt seeing dr. Kelsey and i almost strangle her for teasing me. Well not really but that was fucking embarrassing in some parts.

"You took some time out there?" I ask as i saw him walking inside the er.

He chuckle awkwardly "i just called my papa to check on him" he answer.

He really loves his father, thats great "ready?" I ask quirking my eyebrow to gauge his expression and to my surprise his face turned serious and he nods. I guess he face the task with different emotions on. Thats good. Almost like what i do. Work is different after all specially if it means saving lifes which we do and will always do.

Our conversation was cut short when a paramedic wheeled 2 patients in "Code One team to the ED"

We exchage looks before running to them, me on the side of the male patient while him on the female.

"What do we got?" I ask as i help them check his body for any signs of other injuries while wheeling the gourney to trauma 1.

"Nathan Clay. 58-year-old male." The female paramedic answers.

"Peeds versus auto. GCS 12. Vitals stable. Gross deformity to the left upper arm. Right in here" the nurse kael stated loudly whoe listing everything down on the board

I nod checking his eyes opening it gently by his eyelids.

"Ow!" He groan loudly as he was lifted up into the hospital bed.

"He's complaining of chest and back pains. Mr. Clay, can you hear me?" I loudly called out as i check for pulse rate.

He started groaning after a few seconds "Mr. Clay? *grunts* Central line and a CVC catheter. Right away. Airway's intact. Breath sounds clear bilaterally." I look at everyone as i explain what my observations are

"Ow!" He grunt out as i press on his left chest with a bit of pressure.

"Yenderness in the left chest and thoracic spine" kael stated this time with a grim expression still taking notes.

I nod at him as i turn to the paramedics.
"What happened here? He's walking with his wife on Michigan Avenue. Suddenly flips out, starts wailing on her. A couple of Samaritans jumped in to help out. He takes off right into traffic" she explain.

I nod with a straight face before turning back to the patient i help them hold him down as ge starts getting hesterical "Score one for karma. 12-lead EKGs, chest X-rays, CT of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis, with recons of the TLS spine" i ordered to the nurses and trainees inside trauma one.

"On it" and with that kael left to ready everything for the process after i shot mr. Clay with benzodiazepine lorazepam ofcourse after some nurse told me his medical records which thankfully medicine such as this do not cause him any harm.
