Chapter 20 - Rumi and Touya Pt. 2

(Carried on from chapter 19)

Life is a bitch

I don't wanna be a hero

When heroes are such twats

They don't care about the small people

Only the massive villains

Why did I even stick up for Nana?

It was a stupid dream

A year had really taken his toll on the girl but thats to be expected. As they little girl cried in the rain she noticed a silhouette. There three maybe four shadows which meant there were a at least that many people ahead. She scampered away. Why risk interacting with them?! They could be villains. Her ears flopped over her face. She heard the rain pitter pattering while the noise of the footsteps disappeared. She jumped out.

Then noticed a young boy with ruby red hair staring at her. He had very deep blue eyes and looked like they were staring into her soul. His head was tilted to the side as if in confusion. To be fair she was crouching on the ground looking like a mud monster. Also the fact she was quivering. The smaller boy approached the younger girl but the girl shifted away. Her eyes were wide but the strawberry head decided to carry on walking forward while she backed away again. She backed away until she hit a wall. She began looking around for a place to exit.

She was scared... no she was terrified. She was fully shaking like a chihuahua but the boy carried on walking forwards. Maybe he was brave or smart but more likely he was oblivious and idiotic. Any of those two factors is what helped him approaching the homeless girl.

Anyways the boy was already next to her. She was crying and shaking so he did the only thing he could do. He gave her a hug. The girl wasn't used to physical contact much less a hug. It was such a simple action though. They stayed hugging each other for a while. As the two forgotten children sat there together. Eventually they let go of each other. They were both soaked and muddy now. He laughed and petted her head standing up he pulled her to her feet.

"Come with me..." 

This was the moment that changed Rumi's life.

This was the moment she realised life wasn't so bad.

That there was good in the evil.

She could be a hero...

One that would focus on the small people as well as the many.

She smiled and held onto his hand. They walked until they got to a massive house. Then the red-head jumped then pulled himself over the wall.

"Come over." His voice was sweet and sincere so she jumped straight over.

His icy eyes were widen and he smiled. He ran forward and she just chased after him. The jumped through a window and ended up in a bedroom which she could only guess was his. He laughed.

"I'm Touya."

Touya I'll remember that name through the rest of my life. What you did I will remember, thank you.

"I'm Rumi."

"You should take a shower. It's right there." He pointed to a door, "I'll go get some clothes from my sister."

The rabbit quirk user sighed. She walked over to the bathroom and well I'm not describing it so she has a shower... simple. The girl could remember that night so well it sometimes feel like it was yesterday. They sat together playing games until midnight when it was morning he can remember him not being there and when he came back he had bruises but he smiled. She never knew how he got the bruises or why he was still smiling. Later the day Touya took her to a home and let's just say she had a new life.

Touya was spluttering on the ground Rumi had kicked him hard and he hit a wall and fell down. He probably had a concussion. He touched the back of his head and sure enough there was blood. He coughed then slowly wobbled forward. His legs were weak as especially from that impact. He struggled walking forwards. This wasn't Rumi. It couldn't be... Hawks and her could never murder anyone.

The thieves had long scattered. Touya approached the crazed rabbit. As he walked forwards his friend the rain began pouring as if on queue. The bunny walked away as if like Toothless and Hiccup. She began to hiss him. He laughed through the blood.

"Hey Looney Toons number 2... calm down." She barked at him. "Hey you remember when we went fishing..."

OF COURSE I DO TOUYA!!!

"We forgot bait and you screamed this is Sparta and threw are oars across the whole damn lake. The problem was it was the morning and we were stuck in the middle of the nowhere. There was no service and no Hawks. So you decided to put the only person with a phone and a fire quirk into the water. Remember what happened next?"

Yeh.

"I pulled the boat in to the water and you were soaked. Yumi saved us about 19 hours later. It's a good thing she was eavesdropping... I mean making sure we weren't doing drugs. What was the first thing she said to us after..."

You don't have common sense enough to swim or yell for help.

"My god she was pissed, I thought she was gonna bite my head off... While you were what were you doing again. You were to busy fawning over her. And you even started scorning me. Even though it was mostly your fault. I bet you wrrr imagining kissing her while you were yelling maybe you thought a reward. You are such a simp."

"NO IM NO, YOU STRAWBERRY HEADED PRICK!!!"

"Welcome back Rumi and you are."

The strawberry smiled weakly before his legs gave out and he collapsed in front of her. Rumi shrieked she had done this. She scrambled to his side picking up the boy. She began to run. She disappeared down alleyways but it was like a maze she couldn't find her way out. She noticed the doctor sign above a random house and began to ring at the door.

There was a lady in ripped jeans and hoodie answered. Her eyes went wide when she saw and the woman ushered them in. She immediately began operating it bothering asking about money of such. Rumi went to take a seat. Her ears flopped over her face as she began to cry even more. It was all her fault.
