"Ash, get up!" I bang on my brothers door. I don't expect him to be up, it's only two pm. "What?!" He yells, shuffling around his room. Ashton opens the door running his hand through his light brown curls. "Ashton, drive me to Mia's." He looks at me with a curious expression. "They're back from vacation?" He asks grabbing a shirt from his dresser. "Yup, and I need to see her; so give me a ride." He nods in approval. "Let me get ready first." I run to my room, picking out my outfit.

I put on some mascara and chapstick. I look at my body in the mirror, feeling confident. Grabbing my backpack, I decide to text Mia.

I groan in annoyance. I really don't feel like seeing any of the boys, but that's what happens when your friend's garage is the place they have band practice. They made a band out of boredom and they expect it to blow up like Green Day or I don't know one direction?
"Are you ready Carmen?" Ashton leans on my door frame. I jump up, walking past him down the stairs. "Oh by the way Calum and Luke are there." I open the front door with Ashton following me. "Oh okay, well we didn't have practice today so I guess we'll just hang out." "I'm hanging out with Mia not Y'all." I scoff getting in the front seat. "I didn't say you were hanging out with us, but you do need to make new friends. All you do is depend on Mia." I glare at him debating if I should talk back, but I just ignore him.
Me and Mia live in the same neighborhood. To be honest it's walking distance it takes like five minutes to walk there I just didn't feel like walking today.
Ashton parks on the road and I don't hesitate to wait for him I just get out of the car. Before I even knock on the door, it's opened and I smile to greet my friend. My smile soon fades though when I realize it's not my best friend, but her brother.
"Michael." I scoff, "Can I come in?" Michael rolls his eyes and fluffs out his fading green hair. "Yeah sure, whatever." Michael inspects my outfit. "What?" I cross my arms over my chest. Michael grins, "nothin' little Carmen." and nods his head at my brother who's walking up to us. I walk in and see Luke and Calum playing call of duty. Luke looks back at me and smiles, "hey virgin." He laughs making Calum throw his head back in laughter. "Fuck off there's no way you would know that anyway." I run up the stairs sick of their bullshit.
It's been months since I've hung out with Mia. Her family went on a trip to America this summer which resulted in me having a boring summer. I walk into her room and she doesn't look that different since I've last seen her. Her fading pick wavy hair is still running past her shoulders. She still has her natural makeup look as always.

She looks at me in her vanity mirror and jumps up practically tackling me. "I've missed you so so so so much!" She kisses my forehead as I laugh squeezing her in a tight hug. "What the fuck." She looks me up and down. "No fair you have boobs!" She points at my chest. "What can I say? Puberty did me wonders." I do a 360 showing her every inch of me. "I don't look like a twelve-year old boy anymore can you believe it!" I don't normally say stuff like this, but the amount of confidence I've gained this summer is crazy. I even changed my style.
One hour later
Me and Mia spent the last hour catching up and we decided to end it off with watching shameless. "Carl is sexy." Mia grabs Hershey kisses off her desk. "What no way! lip is so hot." I argue hitting her shoulder. We watch as a sex scene with lip comes on the screen. "Yeah, I know I'm hot." Luke bursts through Mia's door. His eyes coming upon Mia's Tv. "Oooooh.." he says. "Michael your sister is watching porn!" Luke yells running back to Michaels room. "Luke what the fuck?!" I yell jumping up after him. I run out the door only to run into Michael making him fall back and me straddling his waist. I adjust myself to get up and hear him groan, I'm guessing it's because he hit his head on the floor. "I-I'm sorry.." I lift myself off of him and reach my hand out expecting him to grab it. He rolls his eyes at me and goes back to his room. "Don't sweat it babe." Calum puts his chin on my head, "he's just all frisky now." I look at him with confusion. "What do you mean?" He takes his bottom lip in between his teeth and chuckles, "so innocent." He walks back to Michaels room. Huh?
