At a young age, Zak figured out that he can change his appearance at will.
11 years later here he was still hiding behind his façades. Only a small group of select people know what he truly looks like.
They all had to agree that he was attractive with or without his 'abilities". Zak, however, thought otherwise and felt he was unattractive and needed to alter his appearance.
Clear skin, brighter eyes, non-chapped lips and much more. He felt confident with his looks but was also full of shame for not showing people the 'real him'.
He'd never shown strangers what he looked like. It felt unnecessary. That was until one day.

Zak awoke with a start, he looked at his alarm clock
07:34 A.M
"Shit!" He said rushing to get ready.
He quickly showered and got dressed. He looked in the mirror to check his hair and was shocked it was, well, him! Actual him!
He stood in shock before he heard his mother yell
"ZAK AHMED! YOU'RE LATE!"
He rushed down the stairs, grabbing his bag.

By the time he arrived he'd already forgotten about his lack of 'ability'
He wasn't worried until he saw Darryl looking at him, confused.
"Zak? Is that you?" He asked walking towards the shorter
Zak gulped and waved "Hey, bad!" He called him by his Gamertag
Darryl grinned "happy, it is you!" He said hugging him happily
"You don't think I'm ugly?" He asked hugging back
"Skeppy, why would I ever think that? You're my best friend!"
"I'm glad you don't think I'm hideous," he said
"Geppy, appearance doesn't matter!" He said laughing
Huh, maybe Bad is right, appearance doesn't matter. Zak held Darryl's hand lightly
"Is this okay?" He asked nervously
"Of course!"
