"could i talk to you alone please" you asked
"yes of course"
you signaled for soda to leave the room and he left and closed the door behind him.
"what's up doll"
"i have to tell you something"
"yeah?"
"i think... oh nevermind"
"cmon y/n. tell me. you tell me everything"
"well. i think i'm in love with you"
"really?"
your heart stopped. not actually. but you started getting really nervous.
"well y/n. i think i'm in love with you too"
"oh thank god. i was not ready for that rejection" you smiled a little
"hey. look at that smile. been a while since i've seen that"
you two laughed a little bit and then stopped. dal just looked at you for a few seconds. he put his hands on your cheeks and he kissed your lips. he got into your bed with you and cuddled you
"hey doll?"
you hummed in response. you were tired.
"do you wanna go to the dingo for a coke or something?"
"sure"
you eyes were slowly closing. you were exhausted from all that crying. so you ended up falling asleep and when you woke up. you were still cuddling with dally. you smiled to yourself and just laid there. feeling safe. you closed your eyes again and fell asleep.
when you woke up this time. nobody else was there in bed with you. you rolled over to check your alarm clock and it was 7:45 am.
"it's too early" you whispered to yourself.
you smelt french toast again. damn do you miss your parents. you kinda teared up a little. but then you heard your door open.
"hey doll, breakfast is ready" dallas said
his voice is so relaxing. i love it.
"cmon. get out of bed."
he grabbed your hand and tried pulling you out of bed. and then the next thing you knew he picked you up and was carrying you downstairs while you were clinged onto him like a panda on bamboo. you closed your eyes to shield them from the sunlight coming through the windows. you put your head in dallys neck and your arms were around his neck. his hands were on your thighs kinda close to your butt.
once you two got downstairs dally sat you in a chair at the table and you immediately put your head down into your arms on the table.
"y/n. sit up." darry said
you slowly sat up because you didn't want to know what darry would do if you didn't listen to him.
"your favorite again. french toast" soda said
"yeah" you replied. your voice was still groggy because you just woke up and hadn't spoke much.
"here you go" darry said placing a plate of french toast in front of you.
you ate your french toast with your eyes half shut because you were so tired.
"wake up!" steve yelled from across the table
"shut up" you said back
two bit came over and started tickling you and you fell out of your chair. you sure were awake.
you finished your breakfast and sat on the couch. dally came over and sat next to you.
"be ready by 5" he whispered
you just smiled and looked at him.
"what am i supposed to tell darry?" you whispered back.
"just be honest with him. see what he says"
"he's gonna kill me"
"no he won't"
you took a deep breath and got up and went over to darry.
"can we talk outside?"
"right now?"
"right now."
he got up and followed you outside. you sat down and patted the spot next to you signaling for him to sit next to you.
"darry"
"yes?"
"dally asked me to go to the dingo with him. on a date"
"awwww"
"you're not mad?"
"no y/n. i can tell dal treats you different. i can really tell he has a soft spot for you. he doesn't even treat johnny like that."
"really?"
"yes. i think you and dally have something special. hell. the whole gang does."
"well thank you for not getting mad."
"yeah. but if he hurts you-"
"he's not going to."
"but if he does. he's dead"
"you better tell him that"
"tell him to come out here when you go in"
"alright"
you got up and walked inside.
"darry wants you"
he got up and walked outside.
"why did you need to talk to darry?" soda asked
"i needed permission for something that's all"
"what did you need permission for? a date?" two bit said nudging me since i was standing by him
"yes actually"
"with who?"
"dally"
the whole gang got quiet for a second and then they started to cheer
"i told you" soda said to pony
"did you guys make bets on me and dallas going on a date?"
"maybe" all the boys said at the same time
you just shook your head and walked away. you sat on the couch and the front door opened. dally and darry walked in together. dally came and sat next to you on the couch.
"you wanna come with me to bucks?"
"it's so farrrr"
"cmon. please"
"after our date. let's just watch tv here for now."
you put your head on dallys shoulder and got comfortable. dally put his arm around you. you heard "aw"-ing coming from the kitchen. the gang were all playing cards and looking at you and dallas.
"cmon doll. let's go for a walk"
"alright"
you got up so dal could get up since you were pretty much on top of him. we started walking towards the door.
"hey where are you two going" darry said
"on a walk" you responded
"alright. be safe" darry said
you didn't say anything. you just smiled and walked out the door holding dallys hand.
as soon as you guys got out of the house he put his arm around your shoulders and you tilted your head on his shoulder
dally stopped walking and so did you. he took his arm off your shoulders and that made you take your head off his shoulder and you looked up at him confused
"you're so beautiful" he said while smiling
he lifted up your chin so your lips met his. you smiled between kisses.
"listen. i've been in love with you since the day we first started talking. before we started to talk and get to know eachother i thought you were just another girl. but since we started talking i haven't hooked up with anyone." he said kinda quietly like he was embarrassed
"really dal?"
"yes doll. i love you. so much."
"i love you too dally"
"y/n?"
"hm"
"do you want to be my girlfriend?"
"dal, you know i just broke up with kaiden. and i'm not sure if i'm ready for another relationship yet. i don't want to get hurt again"
"that's ok. if you're not ready then you don't have to. i'm not gonna make you do anything. i'll wait for you"
"you know what. screw it. you only live once. right?"
"so, were dating now"
"yes boyfriend"
"ok girlfriend"
dally started getting closer to you and as soon as he got right up to your lips and you mumbled;
"i love you"
as his lips kissed your lips. between kisses her said;
"i, love, you, so, much"
and that made you laugh
"after our date we're gonna go to bucks ok? and you know what we're gonna do there?"
"what are we gonna do?"
"you'll see" dal said while winking
"oh come onnn. you know i hate surprises" you said dramatically
"i think you'll like this surprise. now let's get back to your house so you can get ready to go"
"ok"
you two started walking back and once you got there dally sat on the couch and waited for you to be ready.
