twenty eight

Jieun slowly made her way towards the school gates where she was supposed to meet Hendery. With every step she took her anxiety raised. Even though they are soulmates her thoughts were filled with questions.

A few moments later she was already standing in front of the boy. Upon realising she arrived he raised his head to look at her, the biggest smile spread on his face. "Shall we go?" He asked as he quickly got up and she slowly nodded, smiling slightly at him. 

He held her hand, intertwining their fingers as they made their way towards Taeri's house. Her heart started beating like crazy and slight blush crept up her cheeks. The walk was silent and Jieun kept staring at the floor the whole time, which slightly worried Hendery. 

He thought that he did something wrong which broke his heart in pieces. "Is something wrong?" He asked, concern lacing in his voice. "Huh?" She quickly looked up, making eye contact with him, which made her blush even more so she immediately looked away. 

"Ah, no. I'm just," She paused, at loss for words. "I'm just thinking." Hendery chuckled upon realising she was just feeling shy and swinging their hands, while the other hand was in his pocket. "You're so cute."

His sentence caught her off guard and  she looked at him with wide eyes, thankfully not choking this time. "Why are you saying it so suddenly!?" She yelled as she moved her hands away  from his and quickly covered her tomato red face. 

"Ah, so cute!!" He cried out and held his hand on his chest, making her hit his shoulder. Luckily they were a few steps away from Taeri's house so she ran away and entered the house. "Jieun?" A male voice said making her stop in her tracks and turn around. 

"Oh, sir. I didn't know you were here." She said and quickly bowed at Taeyong's father. A few moments later there was a knock and everyone looked at the person peaking through the doors. "Oh, Hendery. Come in!" Taeyong's father said and Hendery did as told. 

"Sit down, both of you." He said and motioned the two to sit down next to Taeyong. "I would like to apologise for entering like that, I haven't knew you were here." Jieun quickly said and he shook his head, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Jieun, you're welcom here anytime. You're like my third child. I don't regret taking you in my home after what happened to your parents."

"Thank you sir."

"Just call me Taeyoon." He smiled at her and she quickly nodded. "Taeyong told me about what happened between you." Taeyoon said with a serious face and Jieun gulped. "I'm so sorry for bringing trouble into the family." She quickly said and the older shook his head. 

"It's okay Jieun. If anything, I should be the one apologising for my brother's wrong doings. As you already know he was the one who ordered your parent's death." He explained and the girl nodded. "I know it's not your fault. Don't worry uncle."

"Now you're in Vampdom and you're with those your kind." He said and smiled at Hendery. "Your parents would be proud of you." A tear slipped down his cheek and he quickly whiped it away. "Chenle also."

"Chenle?" Taeyong rised a brow and she slowly nodded. "Oh you've found out." Taeyoon smiled at the girl and held her hands. "How is he doing? I haven't seen him since Yuri's death."

"He's alright." She smiled softly as she thought of her brother, an angel. "I won't keep you any longer. Taeri told me you were going on a date, am I right?" The two quickly nodded their heads. "I'm going to go to Taeri's room."

"Oh, she's in there, probably sleeping." Taeyong said as he gave her thumbs up. Jieun nodded her head and made her way towards the room. When she entered she locked the doors and threw herself on the bed next to her cousin, a semi loud sound leaving her mouth as she screamed into the pillow.

Taeri jumped, slightly frightened by the sound next to her ear but let out a breathe of relief upon realising it's just Jieun panicking. "Sup babygirl?" She said as Jieun covered herself with a blanket and sobbed. "I'm extremely scared of the date."

"Why? Hendery seems like a nice guy."

"What if he doesn't like me?" She asked as she moved the blanket off her face. "Jieun, you are soulmates. Also didn't he already tell you that he liked you even before finding out you were soulmates?"

"Yeah but it's been ages since then, his feelings may have changed." She rambled out and Taeri pushed her off the bed. "Girl shut up and go change. You're making him wait for too long."

"Oh my God! What if he waited for too long and he doesn't like waiting for too long?" Jieun panicked once again and started changing her clothes. The older laughed at her silly behaviour and scrolled trough her phone, probably texting Ten.

After she was done changing she stood in front of Taeri and did a few poses. "How do I look like?" Taeri's eyes widened and she quickly clapped her hands, doing a few chef kisses in between claps. "You finally decided to wear what I've bought you!"

She was wearing a white shirt with a brown sweater over it, a pair of light blue striped pants and black converse shoes. "Now, I've got to go before he ditches me for waiting too long." Jien said and left the room, making her way towards where only Taeyong and Hendery were now seated.

Hendery also changed his clothes into something more comfortable. He smiled at her the moment she entered and quickly got up. "Let's go." She said and waved at Taeyong, who returned the action. "Bye Taeyong!" Hendery said before they left the house.

"You also changed?" Jieun asked and he nodded slowly, "Taeyong made me." Hendery explained and the girl laughed. "Such a Taeyong thing to do."
