(6) Jet setting

Three months later 

"Catalina?" Bucky said as he came out of the office with Steve. 

Both of them had been in his office for the last two hours. A contract with a company in Canada has gone sour. They had been spending the last two hours trying to fix everything. 

"Yes Mr Barnes." She said as Steve left the room. 

"Come with me?" He said as he walked back to his office. 

She followed him inside. "Sit down.." he said 

She slowly sat down. "I have to go on a long business trip to fix this mess. So you are going with me. It's going to be a long month and half of traveling all over the other side of the world." He said 

"Oh..are you sure you can't take Steve's assistant Lucy?" She said 

"Cat you are my assistant. I'm taking you with me. Why don't you want to go?" He said 

She looked down. "This is your world and I don't fit in with your world I don't really fit in anywhere. I'm just dumb blonde who likes to party." She said 

"Cat don't say that." He said as he walked over to her. 

"Hey hey look at me." He whispered as he squatted in front of her. 

"It's true. I see the way some of the guys look at me when they come in for meetings. They are probably thinking of how I got the job or that I probably slept with you." She said 

He wiped her tears. "Cat it is not true. You are not a dumb blonde but yes you like to party and yes you get in trouble a lot. But you aren't dumb.." he said as he cupped her cheek. 

She sniffled back some tears. "I'm gonna give you a list. You are going to take London Sydney and Auckland. I'll book the rest and Cat I'll help you pack. I need you on this trip Cat..I need you to be clear headed and a lady. I have faith in you little darlin I know you can be good cause you were always good for me." He said as she took the sticky note. 

"Okay." She said and left his office. 

Later that after noon Bucky showed up at her parents house. Sarah let him in when he knocked.

"Same place it's always been James. She told she was expecting you." Sarah said 

"Thanks Sarah." He said 

Bucky went upstairs to Catalina's room. It wasn't hard to miss as she had "Unsteady" by X Ambassadors playing. When he walked in she was asleep on her bed he looked around. It was no longer the pink room it use to be. It was dark purple walls black furniture black curtains. A ashtray filled with ashes and cigarette butts sat on her nightstand. 

He found her iPod and turned it down he walked over to her bed. He gently shook her "Hey.." he said 

"Hey.." she said 

He caressed her cheek. "What happened to your room?" He whispered 

"I grew up." She whispered as she was about to get her suitcase. 

Sarah had given her two dress bags for her work clothes and formal dresses. Bucky made sure everything was modest and covered up her breasts. She was tossing her heels out of her closet while Bucky was working on her suitcase. 

"Catalina.." he said as he opened her drawer with all her bras and panties. 

He was surprised to see her weed bong but even more surprised that she had a vibrator. She walked over to him. 

"Give me that." She whispered 

"Why do you have one? You are 20 years old.." he said 

She tossed it in her bag. "Because using my fingers sometimes isn't enjoyable. And I'm single..it was my birthday present to myself." She said as she went back to finding her heels. 

Her drawer was also filled with sexy thongs with matching bras and cheeksters that were lacy. Lingerie was also in the drawer she was done filling her shoe bag. Bucky zipped up everything for her once they were done. 

"You need to stop going to Victoria secret." He said 

"It's my favorite store." She said 

"We leave  in two days. Be ready when I pull up here." He said 

"Okay." She said 

"Now I have to go home pack my bag and take my wife out for dinner with Steve and Peggy." He said 

"Is there a reason why my brother isn't going?" She said 

"I didn't ask him to come because he has a wedding to plan. Peggy needs him so we agreed that if I needed him we could video chat him." He said as he stood in her door way. 

"Oh.." she said 

"See you later." He said as he walked away. 

Early Thursday morning Bucky picked her up when she came out he handed the stuff to a chauffeur. He opened the door to the black Escalade and they got in the back. 

"I didn't know you had a driver." She said 

"I do. I don't use him all the time but I knew I had to this morning." He said 

She watched the snow fall as they drove toward JFK airport. The private jet was waiting for them when they pulled up. Bucky helped her out and let her go on up. He made sure the pilots had the  flight plan then joined her inside. 

"Ready to be a jet setter darlin?" He said as he sat beside her. 

"Sure." She said 

The plane started to take off as she thought goodbye New York. Their first stop was in London England. Once they got checked in at the hotel they were shown to their room. 

"Catalina I hope you remembered that I need you clear headed. This trip is different I will need you to be my assistant in the room. Sitting beside me taking notes and making changes." He said 

"Buck..it helps me sleep." She said 

"Catalina..if you have trouble sleeping then you need to go see the doctor. There are healthier ways to deal with things as oppose to slowly killing yourself." He said as he walked to her. 

She looked down. "No pot no drinking unless it's at a dinner party or whatever. Just please Cat I know that you have a lot going on right now. With your dad running for governor and your mom is up for DA re-election but please stop this." He said 

She looked up at him. "Sure." She said 

She got out some sleep clothes and went into her bathroom. They used the weekend to sleep off the jet lag. After spending four days in London they were off to Dublin Ireland and Sweden. Their first three stops were successful in making sure nobody was affected by the bad stock share that caused a ripple effect.
