(15) Wedding Day!

Two years later 

On September 30th everyone was gathered at the Plaza hotel as the wedding of James Buchanan Barnes III and Catalina Eleanor Rogers was to take place. James calls it the long awaited wedding. He was helping his son get ready for his big day. 

Peggy and Becca was helping Catalina along with Spencer Naomi and Winnie. It hurt Sarah when she said she didn't want her to help. She hurt Joe when she said she would prefer Steve to give her away. But like the family therapist told them in her mind Steve Winnie James and Naomi were more parental figures in her life. Bucky was someone she held closer in her heart she just didn't know it at the time. 

Steve knocked on the door when it was time to go downstairs. Naomi and Winnie left her with Spencer Peggy and Becca her three bridesmaids. Zoey Emersyn and Hazel were the flower girls. Zane and his two year old little brother Cory was the ring bearers. Everyone took their places as the ceremony began. 

The three bridesmaids came down after the little ones. Bucky smiled so big as memories filled his head of their history. Their story their life all the hide and seek games the dances. The late night cuddles and everything in between. 

Steve kissed her cheek then stood behind Bucky. The ceremony began with a prayer and scripture readings. 

"James I never knew what it meant when someone said that everyone has one a soul mate. The one true love you were suppose to find. I never thought mine has been by my side this whole time. When we began to re connect I felt whole again and I felt safe again. I love you because you love me even when I don't love myself. You listen to me and you take care of me like you always have. I am so happy we connected again I am beyond thrilled to start a new journey and chapter with you. I love you and I always will." She said 

"Catalina..I made a promise the day you were born that I would never let anyone hurt you. I also made that same promise when I was 4 to Becca but..you were different the moment they placed you in my arms something inside of me happened. I love our story I love you exactly the way you are. And my life is more full now that I have you again. I can't wait to start this next chapter with you cause I know that it will be full of laughs giggles and late night movies. And our babies are going to love our adventures. I love my Cat Cat my fairy princess my little lady love." He said 

They sealed the ceremony with a kiss and he carried her out bridal style. They had their reception at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Where they shared their first dance to the song 

"To Love Somebody." By Michael Bolton. 

They also announced at their reception they were expecting again. Bucky surprised her with a honey moon to Montego Bay.
