Lisa

A bell ringing as I swing the door to Rosie's flower shop. The fresh scent of flowers greets me as I walk towards the counter. Rosie was giving her a contagious smile, waving goodbye to her customer. Finally, her eyes landed on me with a suspicious look.

"Is visiting my shop part of your upcoming New Year's resolution?" Rosie said, leaving the counter greeted me with a hug.

I shrugged, "Yeah, sure. Anyway, do you have a red ribbon?"

Rosie rolled her eyes, "Yeah, how long do you need?"

"How long does it need to wrap this gift and for a teddy bear?"

Rosie squinted, pointing at the box, "Is that Jisoo's gift for secret Santa?" I nodded and plastering a wide smile. Rosie shakes her head, "Jisoo will kill you. Do you know she kept bothering me if she's my secret Santa? She wants to fight me. That's how serious she is."

"I'm sorry, I was just swamped," I said as I admire the flowers and bouquet inside the shop, "my team and I are completing our project with Irene."

"I can't believe you are still talking to your ex. Sometimes, I think you still have feelings for her. I mean, why can't you just cut her off," Rosie said as she cuts the ribbon.

"It's not that easy. Besides, we have a contract."

Rosie crossed her arms, "Does that contract includes punching her ex-girlfriend, who is your ex-best friend she cheated with?"

I picked a single red rose and brought it to the counter, "It was a coincidence. I was there when Seulgi almost dragged Irene to come with her. What do you want me to do? Irene was screaming."

Rosie gave me my receipt as she ties a cute red ribbon on the little brown bear and wrapped the red rose.

"If you don't want to cut your connections to Irene, that's your business. But as your friend, I want to remind you, if you won't set a line. Time will come, Lisa, that teddy bear, and roses won't be enough to secure things as they are."

I stroll along the Han River, thinking about what Rosie said earlier. I placed a clean blanket on the grass and took the food I packed this morning. I stood and admired the arrangement. I pulled my phone and dialed Jennie's number.

"Jennie, where are you? I'm already here at the Yeouido." I said as I look around, hoping I will see Jennie.

"I'm almost there. What's the rush? What did you do this time?" Jennie said, panting over the phone.

"Nothing, I just want to see you sooner." I bit my lips, not to laugh. Jennie sigh in frustration. I could imagine her eyes roll over, but she would probably end up smiling.

"Oh? Is it because you have a surprise for me?" Jennie said.

"No."

"You are such a terrible liar."

I turn around and saw Jennie smiling at me as she shoves her phone back in her bag. I grabbed the bouquet and jogged to her.

"Surprise?" I chuckled.

She gladly accepted the flowers and took a sniff at them, "Thank you," then she leaned and gave me a quick kiss on my lips.
