"Hello. I'm detective Mckenzie and this is my partner detective Johnson, we are going to be asking you a few questions okay?" I said calmly as I looked at the woman in front of me.
She was a mess, her black long hair was knotty and all over the place, her make-up was smudged. I looked down at the sticky note another detective gave me, so I could interview her, and saw her name. Stacey Usoro. It sounded familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Tears ran down her tan skin.
"You don't understand! Hes-"
"There's no need to yell." Larry said sternly.
I shot a glare at him, "Go ahead." I told her.
"I just witnessed two other women get murdered! They are at the house on NorthWaters Street! At that creepy house!" She sobbed.
"Explain to me what happened." I nodded my head towards the door. That was Larry's que to get together a team and go to NorthWaters St.
He nodded and I turned back to the woman in front of me.
"The last thing I remember was being at the grocery store and then everything else is a blur. I woke up in a dark room with two other girls." She frantically said.
"Did you know them?"
"They looked familiar but I don't think I did."
I jotted down a few notes and told her to continue.
"They were both crying and that's when I knew something was wrong. I was on the bed with one of them. Then he came in."
"Who? What did he look like?"
"I couldn't see his face because he had a mask and all dark clothes on. He was short though. He came in and looked at all of us and got pissed when he looked at me. I figured that this was a kidnapping and I held in my tears because I've watched enough documentaries to know not to show emotion because that makes your attacker confused."
"Right."
Her eyes looked down. She looked as though she dreaded to tell me the next part.
"H-h-he stabbed the one girl and I kept up my act. Then he dragged the other one out of the room! He did it because he of me." She stuttered.
"Slow down. This is not your fault so drink some water and take a few deep breaths."
She nodded and took a sip.
"Ok what happened after he dragged the other one? Did he say anything to you?"
"No. But while he dragged that girl out," She paused and then whispered, "she called my name."
"I thought you said you didn't know her?" I questioned.
"I thought we didn't but apparently she knew who i am. I don't know who she is though. Or the other girl." She was now beginning to act up again.
I put my hand on top of hers and nodded.
"What happened next?" I whispered.
"After he shut the door I grabbed the pocket knife in my packet and i-i-i," She paused taking another deep breath. "I grabbed the metal chair in the corner and waited for him to come back."
"Ok." I said jotting down more notes.
"Then when he came back I hit the monster and ran. I ran until a car picked me up and dropped me off at my home. I'm living with my mom and she told me I needed to come here. I was really scared to leave my house though but she forced me to." she sniffled.
