"What about her, she seems nice."
"Uh, I don't know."
That had been my answer all day. "I don't know." But of course I knew. I knew everything there was to know about Adrian. What I don't know is why I've been stalling all day. Lissa and I were undercover at a mall, trying not to be spotted and targeted. But, at the same time we were spotting and targeting other people. Well, you know, not murder or anything.
Lissa all of a sudden turned to face me with a look of annoyance. "What's your problem, Rose?"
"I don't know," I responded. I mentally kicked myself because I was doing it again. Stalling. Lissa was getting tired of doing this. I watched her as she passed around in her head what she was going to say to me next. There was some eyebrow movement, eyes talking to someone who wasn't there. Typical Lissa.
"If you still have feelings for Adrian, just say it." Now that was not what I expected her to say.
But the question was...did I?
