it was the day after they won the election. quackity smiled as schlatt and him were sat in the whitehouse. they were holding wine glasses, and the sound of the two cups clinking with each other echoed across the room.
quackity enjoyed the moment. how could he not? l'manburg was in safe hands with schlatt and him. it wouldn't be under wilbur's dictatorship.
"to presidency." schlatt laughed, taking a sip of the red wine. quackity did the same a few moments later.
schlatt leaned in for a kiss, and quackity melted under his touch. they stayed there for a few seconds before pulling away, gasping for air. a bright red color was all over the duck hybrid's face, and he thought he was going to die from embarrassment.
he just kissed the president.
schlatt grinned, full of pride. he seemed proud that quackity immediately gave in.
they stared at each other, and it felt like a eternity until the ram hybrid broke the eye contact.
schlatt's eyes were a warm brown color with glints of red that were apparent if you look closely. the duck hybrid loved them. he says, that if you look close enough, you could see stars in those eyes. he was going to drown in those chocolate eyes, but frankly, he didn't care.
however, all good things come to an end. schlatt cleared his throat, "i need to get to my duties." he gave a small smile. "you should get to yours too."
quackity immediately nodded and left the room, waving before closing the door behind him, he didn't notice schlatt's grin as he was leaving. all he could think of was those brown eyes. those eyes that seemed like there were shining with thousands of stars. he never once doubted that schlatt loved him back.
he sat on his chair, reading papers. he was going to be the best vice president l'manburg has ever seen. even though there had only been one previously.
suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. quackity straightened his tie, and fixed his sitting posture before calling out.
"come in!" he said enthusiastically. the door creaked open, and a small brunette came in. tubbo didn't look as excited as quackity, he seemed to have been crying previously.
quackity didn't really pay attention to those details. why would tubbo be sad? he and schlatt gave him a job- a new chance! a brand new start on his life. "what do you need?" he asked politely, gesturing towards the office chair across from the desk he was working on, inviting tubbo to sit.
"i was wondering if you'd seen schlatt anywhere? he's not in his office." tubbo spoke up with a small voice. quackity shrugged.
"he's our president, he does whatever he wants." the man with the beanie chuckled. this only made tubbo feel worse. quackity frowned. that was supposed to cheer tubbo up.
"oh. okay." tubbo got up, ready to leave.
"wait-" quackity stopped tubbo. "you can talk to me if you're down, okay?"
"okay."
this gave quackity reassurance, his shoulders relaxed as tubbo left the room. he didn't really understand why he was so down but he knew that sometimes people had their off days.
he hoped that tubbo would feel better soon. he yawned and let out a groan of annoyance. his wings were still kept inside his suit and it was starting to get irritating. quackity took off his jacket and unbuttoned his shirt.
schlatt told him to tuck his wings in, and schlatt only wanted the best for him. he smiled, determined to prove himself to him. he stretched out his wings for a few seconds before putting his shirt back on.
he'd get used to this eventually.
it's been a week since he and schlatt had been elected. tubbo seemed to have been happier, quackity took note of that. schlatt had started drinking lightly.
quackity knew that schlatt was stressed so he didn't stop him. a little bit of alcohol doesn't hurt anyone, he thought. it never hurt anyone around him, so why tell him to stop?
the duck hybrid always found himself following schlatt, doing everything to the best of his abilities to try to get his attention. mr president never really expressed anything about it, but quackity was determined. he knew that schlatt loved him and he was just busy with his own work.
he had to try harder. schlatt was listening to tubbo, and quackity couldn't help but feel a little bit of jealousy. he knew that it was wrong, because he was jealous of a kid that had his friends exiled from the great country.
he honestly shouldn't be jealous at all. schlatt always told him he loved him, and he believed it. there wasn't a reason not to. he let him be the vice president of the country! schlatt wouldn't stop reminding him of that, and quackity believed every second of it.
schlatt was not a liar. he loved quackity. he was a good president. quackity grinned, he loved his job. its been a week since it started and he was enjoying every second of it.
quackity watched as tubbo approached schlatt, smiling and talking. he was happy that they both seemed to be enjoying their work. schlatt glanced over and made eye contact with the duck hybrid. again, he felt like he would melt in those chocolate eyes that were filled with stars.
quackity blushed and quickly dashed away. he was going to go back to working. schlatt was going to be so proud of him!
the man walked to the closest mirror, and stared at his reflection. in the reflection, he saw a man that was a good vice president. he saw someone with confidence and energy, someone that would be loyal and dedicated. he was happy with what he was.
there was just a missing part of him. he unfolded his wings. his pale yellow wings with orange feathers at the ends. in the mirror, it almost looked as if they were gold. he wanted to showcase them but he knew that schlatt didn't want that.
and again.
schlatt only wanted the best for him.that's what he kept on telling him. he only did those things because he loved quackity. he only wanted quackity to do things because it was beneficial for him. he cared for quackity from the bottom of his heart.
he would die without him.
quackity always appreciated those comments, and they would fill his mind when he had the slightest doubt with the emperor's decision making.
oh my god, quackity realized he was really head over heels after schlatt.
