Clara Oswald had just finished her lunch in the cafeteria of Coal Hill Elementary on Tuesday when she heard it. The all familiar whining of the TARDIS! The Doctor was coming for her after all! She dismissed her English Literature class early and rushed into the teacher's lounge to grab her purse, coat, scarf, and hat for it was mid winter. Once she had done that, she called in sick for a couple of months. She ran across the pavement, past a confused police officer, to the empty field in the back of the school. The doctor opened the welcoming TADIS doors to let her in.
"Where have you been. You left me for months going on a year!" And with that Clara slapped him hard across the face.
"What was that for!" The Doctor cried out in pain.
"FOR LEAVING ME AND NOT SAYING GOODBYE. Where have you been!"
"Traveling"
"That's what you do every waking moment TAVEL! Be more specific! Where, when, and why!"
"TARDIS, this morning, got kicked out of a sandwich shop."
"Where are we going this time?"
"Baker Street, London, 21st century!"
" You mean that we are actually going to visit Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson!"
"Yep"
"They don't exist!"
"You couldn't have been more wrong Clara."
"Ok. Let's go!"
And with that they walked into the console room and fired it up.
The last thing that Clara heard was the whining and screeching of the TARDIS flying off into oblivion before she was thrown to the grates on the ground and knocked unconscious.
