Part 3/3

*3rd person POV*

"Look, i don't know what you're talking about!"
Keigo spoke loudly.
"I have no connections to her."

"Right, take a look one more time please."
The detective said.
"Sir."

"Fine."
Keigo crossed his arms and looked at the photo.
It was a young girl, dark hair, caring hasel eyes, pink lips.
It was a shame what happened.

Just a car accident
They had told Keigo.
But if he was being pulled in simply by bring on the street at the same time as the accident clearly they were investigating further.

Keigo's eyes softened.
He picked up the photo and stared.
"What about her family?"
His heart hurt knowing this happened while a hero, while he was on scene.
"Can I see them?"

In a way, he felt at blame.
Being second top hero,he should have done something.

"They're not taking visitors."
He said taking the picture.
"Are you sure you haven't seen her, talked with her?"

Keigo looked down and shook his head.
"No. I haven't. At least not that remember."

"Alright. Thank you for your time."
The officer said standing.

.
.
.

Keigo walked down the street, hands in his pockets.
He looked up at the sky.
Whenever this kind of thing happened while he was around always killed him.

He let out a breath and stopped in the middle of the side walk.
He closed his eyes tightly.
His hands shook in his pockets, he hurt.

He wanted to scream but, there were people around.
"Just go home."
He told himself.

He knew it would be quicker to fly but, he couldn't put himself threw that.
He was flying when it happened.

The wind blew through his hair as we flew about the buildings.
He watched people walking, talking with one another.
Then, he saw sparks coming from under a car that was moving down the street.
Something must of fallen.

Hawks was making his way down but, he wasn't fast enough. It hitched and the car tumbled.
"Move out!"
He called to the people on the side walk.

They all moved as quickly as possible clearly not expecting something like this of happen.
The cars moving in the fourway slammed on the breaks as the car cleared through.

It rolled before finally stopping.
Keigo made his way down, looking for people.
There was only on girl in the driver's seat.
He pulled at the door, it wouldn't open.

She looked at his, her hand gripping her thigh. A piece of glass was there.
Her breath was weak, her eyes started drifting.
"No, no!"
He yelled, yanking at the door.
He reached in through the broken window and tried pulling the door oven that way.

He felt around until his hand grabbed around the handle.
"I'll get you out. I-i'll get you-"
She put her hand on his, stopping him.

He looked at her, she wasn't scared.
All she did was nod.

He looked at her, trying to open the door.
Finally he tried reaching over to unbuckle her.
He couldn't reach it!
Damnit!

"Let me go."
She said, her voice was faint.
"Let me go."

"No no! I-I..it's okay. You'll be okay."
He told her.

She nodded.
"I know."

Keigo unlocked his door and opened it. Walking in he realized..
"Tears. Damn."

He put his keys back in his pocket and took off his jacket.
Whenever he closed his eyes he saw her face. The way she looked while telling him to 'let me go'
Why was she so okay with dying?

"Why couldn't I save her."
Keigo gripped the counter.
His tears dripped onto the counter.
His knees buckled and he went down.

"Woah woah!"
Touya grabbed him before he fell to the tile.
Keigo grabbed onto touya, sobbing.
"Okay.."

Touya pulled heigo to his chest.
He rocked Keigo back and forth, he didn't want to push yet. He will. Just not yet.
"Shhhh.. it's okay."

"Let me go..she.."
Keigo broke. His voice was full of pain.
"She was okay. She was going to be okay."

Touya had no idea what Keigo was talking about but just went with it.

"But I couldn't get to her fast enough. Touya i-i couldn't save her!"

Touya pushed hair out of Keigo's eyes and looked at him.
"Was she okay with it? Was she okay with dying?"

Keigo nodded.
His voice felt weak as images of her ran through his brain.

"Then you saved her."
He told him.
"The people who are okay with dying, they're different. They're not scared, they don't have anything to hold onto."

Touya pulled Keigo up into his lap.
"But if you sit and think, you have so much to hold onto. In the moment she was okay with it. She may have even wanted it. You don't know. But since she was okay with it she didnt fight. It's not your fault."

Keigo pressed his head against touya.
"I.."

"I know."
Touya rocked him back and forth.
"You don't have to say anything. Take it from someone who's lost. Many times. It's okay. You'll be okay. Plus you have me. So when you're not okay, you got me."

"For what?"
Keigo asked.

"Whatever you want. Whatever you need."
Touya explained.
"You see I don't have any reason to leave. Not one."

Keigo sniffed and wrapped his arms around touya waist.
"I'm glad I got you."
